AHTV receives $110,000 donation for CT Scan Technology.

AHTV receives $110,000 donation for CT Scan Technology. Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley received a $110,000 donation from Hydrostor on Sept. 22 to support the purchase of advanced CT brain perfusion software for the hospital's imaging and radiology departments. Local dignitaries joined Adventist Health team members and Hydrostor representatives at the hospital to celebrate the generous contribution. Hydrostor is a developer and operator of long-duration energy storage systems designed to enhance power grids around the world. The new CT brain perfusion technology will enhance the hospital's ability to quickly assess patients experiencing stroke-related symptoms. The advanced imaging software will help physicians identify areas of the brain that may be saved through treatment, allowing for faster and more informed care decisions to prevent brain damage. By expanding access to specialized stroke diagnostics locally, the technology will strengthen stroke care in the community and help ensure patients can receive timely treatment closer to home. Adventist Health Central California Network President Jason Wells noted that it is unusual for a community the size of Tehachapi to have access to a state-of-the-art hospital offering advanced imaging technology. "Adventist Health is deeply grateful to Hydrostor for such a generous gift and, even more, for the spirit of partnership it represents," Wells said. "Hydrostor has built its reputation by imagining what's possible and turning innovation into impact, which are values we share at Adventist Health. Together, we are demonstrating what can happen when two organizations committed to innovation come together to strengthen communities and create a healthier, more sustainable future." Hydrostor Senior Vice President of Commercial Affairs Curt Hildebrand said the company was pleased to support an important piece of local health care infrastructure. By funding the technology advancement at Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley, Hydrostor aims to help local residents gain access to timely and accurate diagnoses. The company's support is part of nearly half a decade of investment and economic development in eastern Kern County as Hydrostor continues work on its flagship Willow Rock Energy Storage Center. "East Kern County has been endlessly supportive of Hydrostor and our Willow Rock project, and we're proud to be able to support the community in return with software upgrades for Adventist Health's imaging and radiology departments," said Josh Rowan, senior vice president of project execution for the Willow Rock Energy Storage Center. "The upgrades will ensure patients across East Kern get faster, more accurate diagnoses when every minute counts." The donation represents a partnership between local health care and business leaders focused on expanding access to advanced technology and strengthening health care services for the community of Tehachapi.

Dr. Jonathan Riegler will focus primarily on gastroenterology procedures. - Adventist Health has added longtime Central Coast gastroenterologist Dr. Jonathan Riegler to its gastroenterology team, according to a news release from the health system. Riegler will see patients at Adventist Health Gastroenterology, 959 Las Tablas Road, Suite B-3, in Templeton. Riegler joins gastroenterologist Dr. Robert Barclay and physician assistant Poonam Joshi as part of an integrated gastroenterology team. Adventist Health Central California launches Epic records system.

Adventist Health Central California launches Epic records system. Adventist Health Reedley image courtesy Adventist Health published on September 1, 2026 - 4:29 PM Adventist Health's Central California Network has launched Epic across its hospitals and clinics, placing care teams throughout the region on a single electronic health record system. The transition is intended to give clinicians a more complete view of each patient's health history, including care received at different Adventist Health facilities. The health care provider said the connected records should improve coordination and patient safety while reducing the time employees spend on administrative work. Patients will also have access to the MyChart portal, where they can view medical records and appointment information and exchange messages with their care teams. The Epic records system includes AI-assisted documentation tools that Adventist Health said will reduce paperwork for clinicians and staff, allowing them to spend more time working directly with patients. "Epic represents a major step forward in how we serve Central California," said Jason Wells, president of the Adventist Health Central California Network. "By bringing our hospitals, clinics, and care teams together on one connected platform, we are making healthcare simpler and more seamless for our patients while giving our teams powerful new tools to support exceptional care."
