- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in a security engineering or related role.
- Strong understanding of security principles, protocols, and technologies.
- Experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management solutions.
- Proficiency in network and system administration.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards such as SOC2 and ISO 27001.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with cloud environments, with proficiency in AWS required.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Design, implement, and manage security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection.
- Lead the planning and execution of AWS-based solutions, ensuring alignment with our existing infrastructure.
- Conduct security assessments, application security reviews, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and address security risks.
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and logs to detect and respond to incidents.
- Conduct forensic investigations and incident response activities.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into system architectures and software development lifecycle.
- Provide security training and awareness programs for employees.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security technologies, threats, and industry trends.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CISM are a plus.
- Familiarity with SAST scanning tools is highly preferred.
