Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or eight years of nuclear experience.
  • Practical experience in work control, materials management, electrical and instrumentation or mechanical maintenance, or related areas.
  • Consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five years.
  • Ability to use a computer for email communication.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related tools and technology.
  • Experience in work control planning in nuclear or waste solidification environments.
  • Practical knowledge of waste solidification facilities and operations.
  • Experience developing, reviewing, and issuing work control packages.
  • Experience with Asset Suite, EDWS, and Microsoft Word.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain Facility Access Authorization, also referred to as Employment Authorization, from the designated U.S. Government security office.
  • Ability to submit to and qualify for varying levels of background investigation, up to a Top Secret or Department of Energy Q clearance.
  • Ability to work assigned shift schedules and a 40-hour workweek.
  • Occasional travel may be required for meetings, events, site visits, or training.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to complete a Financial Disclosure Statement if required.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and issue large or complex equipment and system modification, corrective maintenance, and preventive maintenance work packages.
  • Perform technical reviews of maintenance work packages.
  • Analyze time and material requirements for work activities.
  • Prepare detailed material takeoffs and specifications for bills of materials and work-activity labor estimates.
  • Prepare, review, and issue corrective maintenance work packages.
  • Develop and issue preventive maintenance records and work packages.
  • Prepare or review specific instructions for the isolation, containment, and de-energization of mechanical, physical, electrical, and chemical energy systems or radiological sources according to established procedures.
  • Ensure work products are thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and compliant with established criteria.
  • Perform duties competently and professionally while meeting milestones and delivery schedules.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Department of Energy, Savannah River Remediation, and Savannah River Site operating policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Experience with Puridiom.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio.
  • Ability to quickly learn additional business tools and technologies.
