About the job
- Experience in providing excellent customer service.
- A valid, clean United Kingdom HGV Class 2 licence and up-to-date Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
- Experience in driving and delivering goods.
- Familiarity with information technology and navigation systems.
- Deliver goods to customers while providing a positive customer service experience.
- Ensure customers receive the hire equipment they ordered or collected on time and in a friendly manner.
- Meet the target of 98% on-time delivery.
- Resolve problems promptly and communicate with customers and colleagues as needed.
- Load and unload hire equipment using appropriate lifting equipment and manual handling techniques.
- Follow safe working processes while driving and loading or unloading.
- Communicate with colleagues in other departments to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Operate the delivery information technology system, update system data, and take pictures of equipment.
- Raise issues and opportunities to improve operations.
- Identify sales opportunities while travelling and report them to the sales team.
- During quieter periods, support the Warehouse and/or Workshop department.
- A current Independent Powered Access Federation (IPAF) licence.
