Requirements
  • Graduation from an occupational therapy program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  • A current license or eligibility for a license to practice occupational therapy from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Affairs.
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, evaluate functional needs and outcomes, consult with other professionals as necessary, reassess patient status, and adjust the care plan as needed.
  • Design and implement a plan of care based on evaluation of patient status.
  • Provide occupational therapy within accepted standards of care and in accordance with state law.
  • Provide occupational therapy in a home care setting or outpatient clinic as assigned.
  • Communicate with clients, relatives, professional staff, and support staff to achieve desired patient outcomes.
  • Adhere to organizational policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
  • Maintain current and accurate records of prescriptions, patient evaluations, treatments, goals, and plans of care, ensuring conformity to regulations and third-party payer requirements.
  • Perform patient care visits in accordance with agency productivity requirements.
