Simplify Jobs

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • January 2026 Techni-Cast closed, adding aerospace-certified centrifugal casting capacity in California.
  • Montpelier’s $27 million expansion adds 43 jobs and ammunition ordnance wire capacity.
  • Delaware’s second $15 million facility adds 100 jobs as data-center cooling demand rises.

What critics are saying

  • East Alton’s $500 million build risks overruns and commissioning slippage before February 2025.
  • Wieland’s 2024 EU antitrust defeat shows regulators block consolidation when competition tightens.
  • A failed integration of Techni-Cast, Concast, and Randall would leave overlapping plants and weak synergies.

What makes Wieland unique

  • Wieland owns North American casting, machining, and extrusion after Techni-Cast, Morgan Bronze, Concast, Randall.
  • Its 2026 Delaware heat-exchanger expansion targets data-center cooling, a sticky industrial demand pocket.
  • The 2026 East Alton and Ohio projects deepen domestic copper supply-chain control.
