Requirements
  • A high school diploma or demonstrated equivalent is required.
  • Three to four years of experience as an electrician in a data center, industrial environment, hospital, manufacturing facility, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher is required.
  • Ability to work various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules may be required.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and substance abuse test is required for qualified applicants offered a position.
  • Ability to obtain a security access badge at the client location is required.
  • A valid driver's license may be required.
  • Ability to perform repetitive wrist movements, walk extensively throughout facilities, climb ladders and stairs, and bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, and stretch is required.
  • Ability to differentiate wire colors, read documents and computer-screen information, use office equipment and computer keyboards, and communicate in individual and group settings is required.
  • Fluency in computer use, including the full Microsoft product line, is required.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including steel-toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, and hard hats, is required.
  • Ability to work around chemicals, precision equipment, and highly regulated materials and equipment is required.
  • Ability to use measurement tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, gauges, and calipers to set tolerances to original equipment manufacturer specifications is required.
  • Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends when required is required.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain current and future facility electrical systems.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and control circuits from 24 volts through 480 volts AC, electromechanical test devices, instrumentation devices, programmable logic controllers and ladder-logic controllers, and variable-frequency drives.
  • Work safely near or around 13.8-kilovolt systems.
  • Support facility electrical expansion projects.
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair critical infrastructure systems, including servers, network equipment, programmable logic controllers, system administration, access control, alarm investigation, and supervisory control and data acquisition management.
  • Assist technicians by reading blueprints, schematics, ladder logic, and sequences of operation; conducting system tours; and assessing system condition.
  • Follow applicable federal, state, and local electrical codes and National Fire Protection Association 70E requirements.
  • Identify and correct safety-related issues and independently evaluate equipment for potential failures.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on process and production equipment in the computerized maintenance management system.
  • Respond to customer work orders and provide service and feedback while ensuring compliance with codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in resolving work problems.
  • Understand company policies and enforce safety regulations, including job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout procedures, and required personal protective equipment.
  • Operate measuring, diagnostic, and testing instruments to support energy-efficiency solutions.
  • Use hand tools, laptop computers, and diagnostic hardware to perform work.
  • Maintain assignment schedules while adapting to changing customer needs and daily activities.
  • Promote and follow the Amentum Safety Structure.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the manager or supervisor.
