Requirements
Have car insurance.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must be 18 years or older.
Responsibilities
Perform housekeeping, cleaning, and laundry for clients.
Prepare meals and cook.
Shop for groceries with or for the client.
Provide transportation and run errands.
Assist with personal care and bathing.
Provide companionship.
Visit places in the community and socialize with the client.
Engage clients in activities such as games and memory books.
Assist clients with social and behavioral functioning, coping skills, self-advocacy, confidence building, relationship building, and safe boundaries through coaching, discussion, role-playing, and teaching.
Record daily care notes.
Report significant client changes to the agency office.

This job requires caring for others who need help staying or gaining independence AT THEIR OWN HOME including the elderly or clients with intellectual or physical disabilities of all ages.
Direct Support Professional (DSP)/Caregiver Essential Job Functions (differ based on client needs):
