Game Coordinator

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works with and assists Game producer to coordinate in new challenge development, which may include the creation of prototypes, fabrication efforts, playtests, design sessions, documentation, and other steps integral to the creation of new game concepts and mechanics
• Works with the Game Producer to coordinate the challenge sustainment process, from data analysis, Ops/Venue Tech feedback, content updates, documentation etc.
• Builds and maintains documentation for new and existing challenges, including Game Design Outlines, Cue Sheets, Scope Lists, Data Pulls, etc.
• Coordinates with Game Producer, Data Analysts, and software team to build, capture, and understand game data
• Coordinates with Game Producer, Operations team and Venue Techs to stay current on all information regarding the Level99 games experience (Player feedback, mechanical issues, material longevity, etc)
• Coordinates regular updates and game balancing deployments along with the Game Producer
• Knows every game design element inside and out, and why decisions were made
• Assists in maintaining an intimate relationship with Venues and Ops staff to  facilitate the feedback loop from installed and open challenges to updates and new challenges moving forward
• Assists with install and opening of new challenge, where necessary
• Assists in sourcing, and ordering materials for architectural and gameplay components
• Maintains schedules, estimates time required to complete assignments, and provides regular check-ins to review the status of projects and deliverables
• Completes administrative tasks associated with a successful professional role including: hours/timesheet/cost reporting, documenting costs, and maintaining a prioritized list of tasks
• Keeps individual workspaces, and the building as a whole, clean, organized, and efficient
• Prioritizes personal safety and the safety of coworkers and guests in the day-to-day execution of duties
• Identifies and interfaces with external contractors and suppliers to complete creative development, artistic, and content creation tasks
• Displays skill in leading and navigating hard conversations and shows skill, grace, maturity, and decisiveness in relationships with subordinates and co-workers
• Takes initiative, sees what needs to be done and assembling the resources to accomplish self-determined goals, in continual pursuit of improvement of our guest experience and development process
• Continuously upholds Level99 brand and visual standards across all parts of the business, including product, experience, graphic design, and display standards, as well as environmental cleanliness and organization
• Follows the direction of supervisors and manage time effectively
• Maintain a positive, upbeat, pro-active attitude and inspire the same in co-workers
• Other duties, as assigned

MUST-HAVE SKILLS

• 2+ years industry experience (museum exhibits, theatrical sets, theme park design, immersive art design, game design, etc)
• Has a passion for games, game design, and game theory, as well as the vocabulary necessary to discuss and debate their intricacies 
• Ability to self-manage time and resources in a low-oversight environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• High integrity and professionalism
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced, ever changing work environment
• Understands, utilizes and embraces new technology and its implementation into our operation, with specific knowledge in, but not limited to, Microsoft Office
• A positive, joyful, upbeat and energetic attitude – leading by example

OTHER DESIRABLE (BUT NOT NECESSARY) SKILLS & EXPERIENCE INCLUDE

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
• Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, etc)
• Hands-on construction and fabrication experience desired
