- Experience in long-term care is preferred.
- A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
- A First Aid certification is preferred.
- If leading the program, the employee must meet the applicable federal regulatory qualifications, such as qualifying as a therapeutic recreation specialist or activities professional, holding applicable state licensure or registration, meeting recognized certification eligibility, having the specified social or recreational program experience, being a qualified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant, or completing a state-approved training course.
- Assist in developing the community’s wellness programming.
- Facilitate daily events and programming to meet residents’ needs.
- Perform data collection to assist with residents’ assessment processes.
- Assist in implementing the plan of care based on residents’ needs.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
