PRESS RELEASE Lin's Fresh Market and ACE Hardware Celebrate Grand Opening in Enoch.

PRESS RELEASE Lin's Fresh Market and ACE Hardware Celebrate Grand Opening in Enoch. October 2, 2026 Media Contact: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Elizabeth Barnett [email protected] 801-978-8466 Lin's Fresh Market and ACE Hardware Celebrate Grand Opening in Enoch New stores bring 165 jobs, expanded shopping options and new services to the growing community ENOCH, Utah (Oct. 2, 2026) - The excitement from the crowd was high, as hundreds of people gathered to celebrate Enoch's newest shopping destination. Lin's Fresh Market and ACE Hardware cut a ribbon on the new locations, bringing jobs and expanded shopping options to the Enoch community. The 48,000-square-foot grocery store, which opened its doors on Sept. 21, includes a pharmacy, Starbucks, Arctic Circle and BreadBot, alongside the recently opened ACE Hardware location. The two stores employ more than 165 people and are expected to serve as important resources for this fast-growing community. The ceremony, which featured local Enoch residents, began with members from the Southern Utah University ROTC presenting the colors as students in the Canyon View High School choir performed the national anthem. Children from Enoch Elementary led the crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance, and Greg Welling, vice president of Lin's Fresh Market, then presented both schools with $2,000 donations as part of Lin's commitment to the community. The ceremony continued with remarks from Mayor Rushton and store leadership. A few speakers were emotional as they reflected on the important role local grocery stores play in strengthening communities, creating jobs and serving as gathering places for residents. "This store has been years in the making, and it's incredibly rewarding to see the community's excitement and support," said Rochelle Mellor, store director of Lin's Fresh Market Enoch. "Our team has worked hard to create a welcoming neighborhood store where families can find quality products, friendly service and a connection to their community. We are grateful for the warm welcome Enoch has already shown us, and we look forward to building lasting relationships with our guests for years to come." Mellor leads the Enoch location after more than two decades with Lin's Fresh Market. "Lin's started in Iron County more than 70 years ago, making this opening especially meaningful for our company," said Greg Welling, vice president of Lin's. "We're proud to invest in Enoch and provide residents with a beautiful, modern store that offers convenience, quality products and outstanding service." The grand opening celebration highlighted the many partnerships that made the project possible, including the efforts of store associates, construction partners, community leaders and local schools. Ace Hardware's John Surane honored at City of Hope Spirit of Life Gala.

Ace Hardware's John Surane honored at City of Hope Spirit of Life Gala. Surane was presented with City of Hope's Spirit of Life Award, its highest philanthropic honor, recognizing his professional accomplishments, community leadership and commitment to supporting City of Hope's lifesaving work. September 25, 2026 Leaders from across the hardware and homebuilding industry gathered in Chicago on Sept. 8 to celebrate John Surane, executive vice president and chief growth officer of Ace Hardware Corp., at the Spirit of Life Gala benefiting City of Hope, one of the nation's largest and most advanced cancer research and treatment organizations. The gala raised more than $2.5 million in support of City of Hope's lifesaving cancer research and patient care, marking a major milestone in the industry's 2026 Spirit of Life campaign led by Surane. The campaign is projected to raise more than $11 million by the end of 2026, continuing the hardware and homebuilding industry's more than four-decade commitment to City of Hope. Under Surane's leadership, the campaign centers on the idea of building hope, drawing a connection between the relationships, partnerships and communities built throughout his career and what becomes possible when an industry comes together behind a shared cause. Ajas Khan, M.D., M.B.A, C.P.E, chief of department of medical oncology, City of Hope Cancer Center Chicago recognized Surane and the hardware and homebuilding community for their support. "Cancer doesn't happen to a patient alone - it affects entire families. I know that personally, and it's what has driven me throughout my career to keep asking how we can do better for people facing this disease," said Khan. "At City of Hope, innovation matters, but access matters just as much. Because of philanthropy, we can bring new discoveries and more options to patients sooner. Ultimately, access means being able to tell a patient and their family, 'We have another path forward.' John and the entire Ace team have helped make more of those moments possible." A highlight of the evening was a fireside conversation featuring Surane alongside Billy Bastek, executive vice president of merchandising for The Home Depot, and Bill Boltz, executive vice president of merchandising for Lowe's, moderated by Kim Lefko, senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Ace Hardware. With a combined 105 years of experience in the hardware industry, the three reflected on leadership, competition and the relationships that have shaped their careers - including the ability to set competitive interests aside to advance the industry and come together around causes such as City of Hope. Surane was presented with City of Hope's Spirit of Life Award, its highest philanthropic honor, recognizing his professional accomplishments, community leadership and commitment to supporting City of Hope's lifesaving work. "We're all fortunate to have built successful careers in an industry we care deeply about, and with that success comes an opportunity to give back," Surane said. "Tonight is about putting competition aside and asking what role each of us can play in helping people who need us. When this industry comes together around something bigger than ourselves, there's so much we can make possible." The evening concluded with a special performance by Jefferson Starship. Building on the Momentum As Surane's campaign continues through the end of 2026, the hardware and homebuilding industry is also preparing for its next chapter with City of Hope. In 2027, the Spirit of Life Gala will return to Las Vegas in conjunction with Builders' Week, bringing the industry together to launch its next Spirit of Life campaign. Additional details about the 2027 campaign and its honorees will be announced in the coming weeks. For more than 40 years, City of Hope's hardware and homebuilding industry has united leaders from across the business community and raised more than $220 million to advance lifesaving research and patient care. A sophisticated take on blue, Vantage Point adds depth and dimension to the 2027 Clark+Kensington Color Trends collection. Vantage Point is a versatile blue that feels fresh for 2027 yet timeless enough to live with for years to come. "Homeowners are looking for more moments of connection at home, and color can have a powerful impact on how a space makes us feel," said Kim Lefko, Chief Marketing Officer at Ace Hardware. "Vantage Point brings a sense of warmth and character to interiors, offering a versatile blue that feels fresh for 2027 yet timeless enough to live with for years to come."
