Plans submitted for new Domino's Pizza in Leesburg.

Plans submitted for new Domino's Pizza in Leesburg. The new Domino's would open on County Road 44. Published Date: September 26, 2026, 3:45 PM EDT Founded in 1960, Domino's Pizza has expanded all over the world with thousands of locations. But as enormous as that growth is, it always happens one store at a time. In Leesburg, the Domino's Pizza growth story appears to be continuing, as this week, What Now came across plan review documents submitted by ASR Pizza Inc. for a new Domino's at 10830 County Road 44. Situated near the Mid Florida Lakes Hotel, the new Domino's would join Sully's Smokehouse. Domino's recently launched its own take on Detroit-style pizza, the Domino. "Our premium, buttery flavored pan dough encrusted with real Parmesan cheese, and baked in a rectangular pan to create a crispy Detroit Style Parmesan crust," says a description on the Domino's website. "Topped with two layers of cheese and your favorite sauce then finished with our signature garlic seasoning." Domino's Pizza is currently pursuing growth based on four "M.O.R.E." strategic pillars: "M - Most Delicious Food. O - Operational Excellence. R - Renowned Value. E - Enhanced by Best-in-Class Franchisees and Team Members." No opening has been announced yet for a Domino's Pizza at 10830 County Road 44. Domino's targets Cumbria as pizza chain creates 5,000 jobs.

Domino's targets Cumbria as pizza chain creates 5,000 jobs. Domino's is aiming to open two new stores in Cumbria as the company embarks on a huge recruitment drive in the final months of 2026. The multinational pizza chain said it is advertising as many as 5,000 vacancies across the UK and Ireland in the lead up to Christmas. A handful of these roles are based in Cumbria - with adverts posted for trainee managers, delivery drivers, and team members at existing stores in Cockermouth, Kendal, and Bowness-on-Windermere. The pizza chain has over 1,400 sites in the UK and Ireland but insists it remains "on the hunt for many more". Two of its targeted locations are Egremont and Ulverston. Domino's has 1,400 pizza stores nationwide (Image: PublicDomainPictures) The pizza chain says it will consider both leasehold and freehold opportunities for stores and is open to setting up on high streets, retail parks, and industrial parks. Any new store also requires good vehicle access for deliveries and parking for delivery drivers and customer collections. Domino's says it can operate in many different types of buildings and cites examples of previous successes - having converted pubs, industrial units, and even a former toilet block into pizza stores in the past. In 2025, Domino's opened its first-ever Pod store - a diminutive modular unit space measuring 720 square feet. The company said that the Pod model will play an important role in its long-term growth strategy, with the aim to reach 2,000 stores across the UK and Ireland. Efforts have also been made to enter new markets in recent months, with the chain rolling out chicken products and a new Italianos pizza range - responding to growing demand for thinner-style pizzas. Newsquest Cumbria has reached out to Domino's for comment regarding the next steps on their targeted stores in Egremont and Ulverston. More Stories

Domino's expands UK dessert menu with Biscoff collaboration.

Domino's expands UK dessert menu with Biscoff collaboration. Domino's is expanding its dessert offering in the UK with a new product developed in collaboration with Biscoff, adding a familiar biscuit flavor to one of the pizza chain's established dough-based products. The new Twisted Dough Balls - Biscoff & White Chocolate are available to customers across the UK through Domino's online ordering platform, the Domino's app and participating stores. The launch forms part of a broader effort by the pizza chain to introduce new flavors and extend its menu beyond its core pizza range. The dessert consists of six freshly made Twisted Dough Balls, which are covered in melted white chocolate and finished with Biscoff biscuit crumbs. The combination brings together the soft, baked texture of Domino's dough with the caramelized flavor associated with Biscoff and the sweetness of white chocolate. The collaboration gives Domino's another way to incorporate an established consumer brand into its menu while adapting the flavor profile to one of its own products. Biscoff, the biscuit brand owned by Belgian company Lotus Bakeries, has become a widely used ingredient in desserts, beverages and other food products, creating opportunities for restaurant chains to build limited-time and seasonal offerings around the flavor. For Domino's, the launch also reflects a broader push to give customers more options within a single order. Desserts can provide an additional occasion for menu innovation, particularly as restaurant operators look for ways to increase the range of products available alongside their main meals. Louise Pilkington, Domino's director of innovation, said: "We're always looking for ways to bring customers the flavors they love in a uniquely Domino's way, and this launch does exactly that. [...] From a bold honey chilli chicken pizza inspired by one of the UK's favorite takeaways, to a truly iconic Biscoff and white chocolate dessert, plus the Ranch Dip fans have been asking for, there's something new for every kind of Domino's order." The Biscoff dessert is being introduced alongside other recent additions and changes to Domino's UK menu. The company is also highlighting a honey chilli chicken pizza, which draws inspiration from flavors associated with popular takeaway food in the UK, as well as Ranch Dip, responding to customer demand for the condiment. The additions illustrate how Domino's is using familiar flavors and customer preferences to broaden its menu while maintaining products that can be incorporated into its existing ordering and restaurant operations. The Biscoff collaboration, in particular, gives the chain a recognizable flavor profile that can be paired with its existing dough products. Customers can order the Twisted Dough Balls - Biscoff & White Chocolate through Domino's UK online ordering channels, the Domino's app and at stores across the UK.

Domino's asks Aussies+Kiwis to drop everything* in new campaign via Bureau of Everything.

Domino's asks Aussies+Kiwis to drop everything* in new campaign via Bureau of Everything. September 14 2026, 9:38 am BY Lynchy No Comments EXCLUSIVE - Domino's has today launched a new brand platform via Bureau of Everything, giving Aussies and Kiwis permission to put literally everything else on hold for a delicious Domino's. Regardless of the consequences. Based on the undeniable truth that when that Domino's box lands, everything else can wait. Drop Everything* It's Domino's(TM) was created to put one very important thing back at the centre of the Domino's brand: craveability. The launch is the culmination of the new partnership between Domino's and Bureau of Everything, covering consumer research, a new brand strategy, design refresh, creative platform development, brand campaign and NPD launch. Says Em Taylor, Strategy Founder at Bureau of Everything: "People told us that there are key moments when Domino's wins, hands down. Because it's the choice that truly pleases everyone, it crushes all the cravings in one order. Which in a world of overwhelming options makes it a clear fave. We've built the strategy and platform around that truth." Domino's Head of Brand and Campaigns ANZ, Teneille Papp said the new platform has been designed to build a stronger and more distinctive Domino's brand over the long term. Says Papp: "In a market this crowded, cutting through takes a platform, not a campaign, built to flex across everything we do while staying unmistakably Domino's. Bolder, fresher, food creative so visceral it makes you want to lick the screen and a voice truly in on the joke, built to turn a transaction into a craving." The platform has been developed for the long term, and launches with a campaign that sets up the Drop Everything* It's Domino's(TM) idea in some pretty extreme circumstances. Which have resulted in some fun conversations with the legal department. Says Cam Blackley, Creative Founder at Bureau of Everything: "There is an asterisk baked into the endline. It's the creative wink from the brand that gives Domino's permission to flex a more irreverent muscle in any moment or media channel. Keeping the brand entertaining any time it shows up and theoretically indemnifying Campaign Brief As against the overly literal that walk among Campaign Brief As. Fingers crossed. "The asterisk isn't the only distinctive asset in our arsenal. There is also a new graphic design system that feels fresher and undeniably Domino's; partnered with an editorial photography style that celebrates the mess and joy of nailing a slice." The platform launch marks a new era for Domino's, putting great-tasting food, personality and the simple joy of delicious pizza firmly back at the centre of the experience. It's a shift that will be felt across the brand - from product and partnerships to the experience, advertising and how Domino's shows up in culture - while continuing to deliver the convenience, connection and value that have made it a firm favourite. Says Domino's Australia Chief Marketing Officer, Dewald Du Plooy: "The new platform is about putting personality and food desire back at the heart of the brand. There's a moment when Domino's arrives where whatever was happening before suddenly doesn't seem quite as important. Someone opens the box, everyone moves in and the rest can wait. Drop Everything* It's Domino's(TM) is about owning that feeling. We want to remind Australians that Domino's is the ultimate people pleaser - hot, fresh, fast and able to crush a whole lot of different cravings in one order." The new brand campaign will run in Australian and New Zealand across TV, OOH, digital and social, with PR, cultural moments and a few other surprises along the way. The brand campaign is designed to run alongside NPD throughout the year. First cab off the rank: the return of Domino's iconic 16-inch New Yorker range. Strategically launched during the Aussie kickoff of the NFL season on Friday 11 September, the campaign puts the flex of the Drop Everything platform on show, adding a healthy dose of New York attitude into the mix. Domino's Pizza franchisee abruptly closes locations.

Domino's Pizza franchisee abruptly closes locations. By Kirk O'Neil TheStreet Updated September 12, 2026 9:12 AM Gift Article Hundreds of underperforming pizza chain locations have closed over the last two years as restaurant operators and franchisees restructure their businesses to improve performance and revenue. Pizza Hut's parent Yum Brands said it would close 250 underperforming restaurants as part of its Hut Forward plan in the first half of 2026. Papa John's announced in its fourth-quarter earnings call that it would close 200 locations by the end of 2026. Financial distress is even affecting the family favorite pizza dining chain and entertainment center Chuck E. Cheese, as its parent, CEC Entertainment Concepts LP, has stopped renewing certain leases of locations that no longer make economic sense to operate. Domino's Pizza franchisee closes 13 stores. And now, Domino's Pizza chain franchisee Anthony Satterwhite abruptly closed 13 of his restaurants in Northern Ohio, amid reports of financial difficulties involving the franchisee. The franchisee, which operated as Mile High Pizza Company LLC, did not give a reason for closing the restaurants or issue a statement. The parent company, Domino's Pizza Inc., confirmed that the franchisee closed 13 restaurants in Northern Ohio, according to Fast Company. Only 11 locations were identified by Fast Company, and Domino's did not provide a list of all 13 locations. Domino's said that it was working on reopening the restaurant locations. Chain's parent seeks to reopen locations. "This is an isolated franchisee matter and is not reflective of the overall strength or performance of the Domino's brand," a Domino's spokesperson said in a statement. "We are actively working to transition these stores to new ownership so that customers in the affected communities can enjoy the quality products and service they expect from Domino's." Satterwhite owned at least 25 franchises by the end of 2025 according to Domino's franchise disclosure document, released in April 2026. Satterwhite became a Domino's franchisee when he purchased four franchises in the Mansfield, Ohio, area in 2017, according to the Mansfield News Journal. Other operators close restaurants. Domino's has recent history of its franchisees closing locations. Domino's Pizza Enterprises, the largest franchisee of the giant pizza chain, in 2025 closed 205 low-performing locations. Also, the global pizza chain's Oceanside, Calif.-based franchisee North County Pizza Inc. filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on March 11, 2025, to reorganize its business. Domino's Inc. has over 22,300 locations in over 90 countries worldwide, according to its website. Popular arcade pizza chain Chuck E. Cheese has closed six restaurant locations so far in 2026, allowing their leases to expire. CEC Entertainment Concepts has closed locations in Toledo, Ohio; Omaha, Neb.; Topeka, Kan.; Olathe, Kan.; Abilene, Texas; and Salisbury, Md. "As leases expire, markets evolve, and consumer preferences shift, we adjust our real estate strategy accordingly," CEC Entertainment spokesperson Allison Chouinard told The Kansas City Star. "This is how we manage a national footprint across 45 states and should not be interpreted as an indication of financial or operational distress," CEC Senior Director Alejandra Brady told WBOC.
