#accelicity | True Flood Risk

We’re honored to share that True Flood Risk has been selected as the 2025 QBE Insurance #AcceliCITY PropTech Prize winner, chosen from more than 820 applications across 71 countries who applied to the AcceliCITY program, and ultimately from ten top-tier proptech companies in this year’s cohort. This $25,000 PropTech Prize recognizes property technology solutions that help mitigate losses where commercial property insurance intersects with resilience measures and we’re proud that True Flood Risk was selected for this category. As Leading Cities captured so well, this award highlights how our AI-powered, property-level flood analytics help communities, insurers, and governments strengthen resilience by turning structural elevation, first-floor height, and building vulnerability into clear, decision-ready insights. At True Flood Risk, our mission is to bring clarity to flood risk and resilience by bridging the gap between climate science and financial decision-making at the individual property level for millions of people and properties worldwide. Big congratulations to our fellow cohort winners: RCOAST (Christy Swann): Solution of the Year, transforming coastal erosion data into actionable intelligence for cities. ByFusion (Heidi Kujawa): dual People’s Choice winner, turning problematic plastic waste into durable building blocks and low-carbon infrastructure, helping cities build local circular economies. It’s inspiring to stand alongside innovators who are reimagining resilience across oceans, cities, and infrastructure. We’re deeply grateful to: -Leading Cities and the QBE AcceliCITY team including Michael Lake, Ava Halstead, Rifda Ufaira among others who are driving transformative urban innovation. -The global city solution forums with leaders who shared their community challenges and innovation needs. -The weekly curriculum advisors whose guidance pushed us to sharpen our model, narrative, and impact from doing business with municipalities, investor readiness, bus dev, operations and more. -And to our fellow startups especially in our Western Division cohort, your collaboration, feedback, and connections have been one of the best parts of this journey. For other founders & city innovators...if you’re working at the intersection of climate, risk, urban resilience, or proptech, we encourage you to explore future QBE AcceliCITY Resilience Challenge cohorts if you are looking for: -High-quality mentorship and weekly expert sessions -Direct connections with cities, insurers, and investors -A global peer network that lasts long after the program ends We’re incredibly proud to be a part of this ecosystem and are excited to help build smarter, safer and more resilient communities. Thank you again to all the judges. Link to the full press release: https://lnkd.in/e4ievTHb
