  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is required, although equivalent experience may substitute: a high school diploma or equivalent plus at least 4 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 15 years of experience in large infrastructure and technically complex environments, including flight operations experience in assembly, integration, and testing.
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in a lead or supervisor role, in addition to the minimum experience requirement.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Additional certifications such as PMP, Certified Facility Manager from IFMA, or ICS are desired.
  • NASA program knowledge is a plus.
  • Strategic thinking and decision-making are required.
  • Exceptional project and program management skills are required.
  • Proficiency in risk and compliance management is required.
  • Leadership and team development capabilities are required.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary interface with the EGS Operations team, including the Senior Vehicle Operations Manager and Launch Director.
  • Act as the main liaison with NASA's Kennedy Integration, Operations, and Support Center personnel and supporting SIMO elements to ensure SIMO EGS requirements are prioritized and executed effectively and efficiently.
  • Ensure NASA and SIMO systems engineering expertise is available to support EGS operations.
  • Verify labor category compliance.
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of a segment of the organization or contract functional area and assist in program management responsibilities as needed.
  • Formulate and enforce work standards, manage daily operations, establish policies and work rules, monitor activities, and plan the use of materials and resources.
  • Be responsible for personnel productivity, performance, and safety.
