Requirements
  • Experience with electrocardiograms, vital signs, venipuncture, capillary procedures, and injections.
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Outstanding patient experience skills.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Graduation from a post-secondary medical assisting education program accredited by an approved certifying body under NJAC 13:35-6.4, along with current certification from a recognized certifying board approved by the New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners.
  • Current Basic Life Support or cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification through the American Heart Association.
Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of duties in primary, multispecialty, and specialty ambulatory settings.
  • Assist providers with patient care and perform clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks.
  • Provide patients with information so they can fully use and benefit from clinical services.
  • Maintain working knowledge of regulatory standards and sustain those standards in daily operations.
Desired Qualifications
  • At least one year of recent healthcare experience or documented completion of an externship in a medical office.
  • Experience with electronic health records.
