The Job
We are seeking an experienced FP&A Manager to serve as the lead finance partner for the Product Development and Technology organizations. The role will oversee their financial planning and analysis efforts, focusing on budget oversight, headcount management, and strategic projects. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring effective resource allocation, optimizing costs, and supporting strategic decision-making.
Your Day-to-Day Role
Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):
- Develop and maintain financial models to support the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning processes.
- Provide assistance during the monthly close process; Conduct variance analysis and performance reviews to identify key drivers impacting financial results and provide actionable recommendations.
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc financial reports and presentations for department and executive leadership highlighting critical financial metrics and insights.
- Oversee headcount management and partner with the People team and department leaders to forecast hiring needs based on company growth plans and productivity targets.
Strategic Finance:
- Serve as critical financial thought leader with respect to the ongoing development and execution of the company’s product roadmap
- Partner closely with business leaders to make strategic decisions supported by comprehensive data analytics and strong understanding of financial trade-offs
- Identify opportunities to enhance budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes to drive efficiency, accuracy, and alignment with organizational goals.
- Continuously improve financial models, tools, and templates to enhance analytical capabilities and decision-making support.
- Assist the broader Corporate FP&A team with special projects as requested by Executive Leadership, Board of Directors and Investors
Your Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
- 4+ years of FP&A, strategic finance, consulting or investment banking experience required; direct experience within an internal finance department strongly preferred.
- Experience within a technology organization helpful, along with proficiency in SaaS economics; Experience in a start-up or similar rapidly scaling environment is a plus
- Experience with Netsuite or similar ERP system, along with proficiency in using FP&A software and tools
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with experience in effectively conveying financial insights to diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Important Details
This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate will work out of our Englewood Cliffs, NJ office a minimum of 3 days per week to maximize collaboration and interaction with the business. Travel may be required.
