Requirements
  • Commercial experience working within the Industrial Treatment Sector or adjacent markets.
  • Experience in customer account management ideally in market sectors required.
  • Engineering or Business qualification that will compensate that level of expertise.
  • Good understanding of Windows based computer programs, especially Excel.
  • Experience of using a proprietary CRM system (Salesforce preferable).
  • Existing contacts & relationships with relevant companies, Design Engineers, and Key Tier 1 / M&E Contractors rental & service biased (preferable).
  • Current or previous membership of relevant industry bodies is advantageous.
  • Full driving license (preferably clean).
  • Experience of Sales Strategy planning.
  • At least 3 years working in the Industrial / Municipal Sector or adjacent market.
  • At least 3 years working in a Sales position.
  • Engineering or Business qualification that will compensate that level of expertise.
Responsibilities
  • Proactively promoting the sale of Xylem/Evoqua products & rental services across the North of England/Scotland regions to both existing and new customers.
  • Developing business in the regions mentioned above by developing sales with Industrial customers such as Food & Beverage, Breweries, Soft Drinks, Dairies, Aquaculture, Leisure, Process Industries, Sustainability projects, Irrigation, Construction, Environmental, Offshore, Ports, Airports, Road & Rail, End users, Contractors, and Consultants.
  • Supporting the Company in maintaining the highest possible standards of Health and Safety at Work.
  • Developing and growing existing and previously lost customers and obtaining new customers that suit the Xylem/Evoqua scope of supply and service capability.
  • Proactive key account management to develop and upsell treatment solutions to the end user through the provision of Xylem products and/or services.
  • Adhering to all SLA's associated with the region's key accounts.
  • Planning and producing strategic sales plans to target and obtain sales growth in the region.
  • Regular visits to sites and customer premises across the region to assist with the identification of solutions and to follow this through to a satisfactory conclusion.
  • Submission of reports, itineraries, forecasts using Salesforce CRM, and other information as required by the line management.
  • Assisting the team in the achievement of the overall Company and Regional goals.
  • Responding to the request from customers to provide technical support and making accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations.
  • Promotion of the Company's products and its Service activities.
  • Close liaison with other external teams within the company to increase industrial product awareness.
  • Supporting the Marketing Department with the provision of Customer information and data, using Salesforce CRM, and with the successful development/launch of new products.
  • Constant evaluation and regular reporting of all market conditions within the area.
  • Constant evaluation of regular reporting of competitors' activities, products, and services in the area.
  • Liaison with FSE's and Ops managers in other areas and the constant interchange of relevant information to promote the Xylem/Evoqua range of products and services.
  • Actively managing the Northern Region Industrial treatment Orders & Sales Budget, while identifying growth areas to enhance set budgets.
  • Researching and maintaining market intelligence, including information on competitors and price levels to assist in day-to-day decisions and the formulation of strategy and budget planning regarding the allocated markets.
  • Monitoring competitor performance on agreements.
  • Ensuring customer accounts are managed effectively from a Finance perspective by working closely with Company Accounts departments to ensure accounts do not become overdue and that measures are in place to monitor customer payments.
  • Organizing, facilitating, and delivering Presentations, Lunch & Learns, etc. direct to all Customer variants.
  • Organizing customer events such as innovation days, site visits, factory visits, and other associated customer-facing events as part of the annual marketing plan or the strategic customer business plan for the region.
  • Achieving Sales targets across all verticals.
  • Planning meetings and organizing time such that all the requirements of the job are met.
  • Developing full strategic sales plans and sales potential of Key customers.
  • Identification and development of new industrial customers.
  • The introduction of new products & services to new and existing customers and introduction of existing products & services to new customers and new applications.
  • Any other duties, within your capabilities, as required by Management (i.e. Dispute resolution, troubleshooting customer issues, managing customer complaints, reacting to customer emergency requests).
