Requirements
  • Ph.D. in physics or astronomy (or related fields)
  • Strong background in particle astrophysics, multi-messenger astrophysics, particle physics, cosmic ray physics, and related fields
Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on the Radio Neutrino Observatory in Greenland (RNO-G) including searches for the highest energy neutrinos in the data
  • Contribute to instrument calibration and monitoring
  • Integrate, test, and validate the data acquisition systems for RNO-G
  • Contribute to event filtering, both at hardware and software levels
  • Participate in field deployment, installing and commissioning new stations for the experiment
  • Be embedded within the Particle Astrophysics group and the Center for Multi-Messenger Astrophysics at the Institute for Gravitation and the Cosmos
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience in experiments such as the Askaryan Radio Array (ARA), IceCube-Gen2 radio component at the South Pole, Radio Neutrino Observatory in Greenland (RNO-G), Payload for Ultra-high-Energy Observations (PUEO), and Beamforming Elevated Array for Cosmic Neutrinos
