Requirements
  • A Bac+5 engineering degree in building or civil engineering, such as ESTP, INSA, or CHEBAP, or a specialized university master's degree in construction management.
  • At least 10 years of experience directing construction work or managing large-scale construction sites, gained with a general contractor or general construction company.
  • Demonstrated experience on commercial fit-out projects and hospitality projects, including hotel renovations or restructurings and knowledge of international hospitality standards.
  • Successful experience managing operational construction profiles, including construction managers and works managers.
  • Fluent professional English at a minimum C1 level.
  • Strong organizational rigor, interpersonal and commercial ease, decision-making ability in urgent situations, results orientation, and negotiation skills.
  • Very good command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and project management or planning tools.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise the execution of all construction sites and ensure compliance with budgets, schedules, environmental and safety standards, and final quality delivered to clients.
  • Lead commercial fit-out operations and complex renovation or restructuring projects in the commercial and hospitality sectors.
  • Participate in selecting, contracting, and managing subcontractors, suppliers, inspection offices, and external service providers.
  • Manage, motivate, and support a team of construction managers and works managers on a daily basis.
  • Arbitrate resource allocation across construction sites according to workload, operational complexity, and required skills.
  • Identify training needs for direct reports and support their skills development and professional progression.
  • Support business development by translating complex technical and operational constraints into delivery opportunities and solutions during the tender phase.
  • Design and structure construction sequencing, including flow management, logistics, phasing, and nuisance management, as part of the sales proposal.
  • Participate in client presentations and pitches, providing clear and pedagogical technical reassurance about operational delivery.
  • Monitor construction costs and ensure compliance with budgets agreed with executing partners.
  • Manage contractual relationships, variations to works, legal and technical risks, and disputes related to execution or scheduling.
  • Establish performance criteria and dashboards to assess project performance and physical and financial progress.
  • Structure post-project lessons-learned activities to capture good practices and optimize future delivery processes.
  • Ensure optimal resource use through rigorous budget monitoring of the activity.
  • Monitor technical and regulatory developments, including safety, environmental, accessibility, and building-technology requirements.
