Requirements
  • An Illinois Class C license or other applicable license required by state law is required to operate the Mobile Health Unit.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize tasks and time to ensure timely completion of all projects.
  • Ability to collaborate with physicians, staff, and professionals in multiple settings and locations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Own vehicle, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently while performing duties.
  • Any combination of experience, education, or training that provides the required level of knowledge, skill, and ability is acceptable.
Responsibilities
  • Safely operate and transport the Mobile Health Unit to community and rural service locations.
  • Provide timely and accurate courier services between HHS sites, storage facilities, vendors, and community partners.
  • Transport the Mobile Health Unit four days per week, assist with site setup, and provide a visible security presence at community events and outreach activities.
  • Perform courier services, light maintenance, facility support, and supply deliveries one day per week.
  • Serve as the primary driver of the Mobile Health Unit and assist with delivery of patient care services and navigation of participants on and off the unit.
  • Conduct safety inspections of the company vehicle before and after use.
  • Address and document vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Maintain the vehicle's interior and exterior cleanliness.
  • Plan driving routes proactively to determine the most efficient routing.
  • Set up the Mobile Health Unit for providers and clinical staff, including stocking supplies and equipment.
  • Consult with the Maintenance Supervisor at the start of each shift to determine work priorities and required supplies.
  • Retrieve, sort, and distribute medical records, interdepartmental mail, and office documents for HHS locations and storage facilities.
  • Make scheduled money deposits.
  • Deliver laboratory materials to UPS daily.
  • Pick up and deliver office supplies and documents from printing vendors and community sites as required.
  • Prioritize and complete work orders for general and grounds maintenance.
  • Assume a security role at community events.
  • Ensure clinic compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and HHS rules, regulations, protocols, procedures, workplace-safety requirements, public-health requirements, and confidentiality standards.
  • Consult with clinical teams and direct and indirect clinical support staff to develop and implement policies and procedures that maximize patient-centered communication and services.
  • Attend staff meetings, department meetings, and other required meetings.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Perform related work as required.
