Responsibilities
  • Define and manage the content strategy, target audiences, content cohort identification, content volume, genre mix, content windowing, programming and stunting to attract and retain viewership for a specific line of business
  • Analyze market data and audience insights to inform content acquisition and programming decisions
  • Evaluate potential content for quality, audience appeal, and cost-effectiveness
  • Prepare for and help guide negotiations with studios, production companies, and distributors to secure content deals for film and TV content as needed
  • Manage content budget allocation and ensure adherence to financial targets
  • Develop content strategy guides for content acquisition team, working cross functionally across the Marketing, PR, Product, Core Analytics, Business Strategy and Audience Insights teams
  • Develop content category and windowing strategies that maximize portfolio efficiency and margin while continuing to drive viewer engagement and increase viewer habit
  • Support Consumer Insights and Core Analytics to help identify deep, actionable data-driven insights into the content preferences, behavior and needs of viewers
  • Evaluate business metrics and KPIs across Finance, Core Analytics, Content Acquisitions, Merchandising and Marketing
  • Manage team across deliverables for many time-sensitive and sometimes ambiguous topics
  • Regularly present analyses and reports on relevant operating and financial metrics in an easy-to-understand format to senior business leaders both internally and externally
  • Perform other tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned by leadership
