Echtra Games is looking for a Lead QA Analyst to join our growing team on a new cross-platform ARPG project. The role of the Lead QA Analyst is to drive and support the overall quality of the title. They undertake the planning, execution, and sign-off of various in-game features to increase confidence in the product readiness and ensure players are having the best possible experience!
Lead QA Analyst provide essential services by tracking in-game defects or issues, writing test suites for new features or maintaining current test suites, and escalating critical failures for review and resolution. Analysts are also expected to assist in analyzing data and reacting to current business objectives to assist in the prioritization of tasks, for both local or offsite QA Teams.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITES:
- Executes testing as required by the project’s needs
- Working as part of an embedded QA team, speaking with game development teams to identify feature testing requirements and potential risk areas
- Acts as the primary point of contact for delegated areas, using independent analysis to assess communication channels and workflows, as well advising on the most effective testing approach
- Speaks as the QA representative with production, engineering, design and partner teams for current areas of delegation
- Utilization of outsource QA teams to achieve required coverage levels, including briefing, mentoring where appropriate, supporting external testers, and fielding questions
- Contributes toward test suite creation and maintenance
- Assists in the tracking of quality metrics
- Calls on experience to help iterate on the QA teams workflows, including contributing new thoughts and ideas on process changes to improve the QA team efficiencies
- Keeping documentation up to date, including version control where required, for team processes, test plans, test cases, and feature specs
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience working on multi-platform games, or games on multiple platforms
- Understanding of client/server testing and the importance of metadata
- Prior experience working in tandem with an internal and external QA Testing team
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Experience in live operations
- Exposure to industry standard game engines (such as Unity, Unreal)
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Enthusiasm and ability to contribute ideas to the team
- A preference to work in a collaborative manner as part of a team
- Is self-motivated in the development of new skills
- 7+ years of experience QA experience in games industry
