Hexagon's federal arm promotes new leader from within

Hexagon's federal arm promotes new leader from within. Elliott Ferguson now leads the subsidiary as president, seven years after he joined it. Hexagon US Federal photo. The parent corporation is preparing to split in two during the first half of this year. Hexagon US Federal, the industrial tech conglomerate's subsidiary for the U.S. government market, has promoted Elliott Ferguson to president from his current role as chief operating officer. Ferguson moves up to lead the subsidiary amid a series of leadership appointments and organizational changes as the parent corporation prepares to split in two, Hexagon AB said Tuesday. Hexagon AB is spinning off its safety, infrastructure and geospatial, and asset lifecycle intelligence divisions into a new publicly-traded entity called Octave. That separation is scheduled to complete during the first half of this year, after which Hexagon US Federal entity will support the portfolios of both companies in the federal landscape. Ferguson has been with Hexagon US Federal for seven years and its COO for one year. He succeeds Chris Reichert, who became the subsidiary's CEO in the fall of 2024 and has departed the company. Prior to Hexagon US Federal, Ferguson spent a decade in the geospatial community focused on product development and data delivery. This transition takes place roughly six months after Hexagon US Federal divested the bulk of its intelligence and defense portfolio to B&A, a move also made to align with the spinoff plan and sharpen the parent company's focus on public safety software. The subsidiary also announced these key leadership appointments: * Phil Chandler, vice president of business operations * Victoria Privett, vice president of corporate services * Greta Brant, director of contracts * Marc Langlois, director of sales
