Job Description

ProSidian Seeks a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst in CONUS/OCONUS - Olympia, WA and Tumwater, WA to support an engagement for an Agency dedicated to the safety, health and security of 2.5 million workers and helping employers meet safety and health standards and the Agency also inspects workplaces when alerted to hazards. As administrators of the state's workers' compensation system, The Washington State Department Of Labor And Industries is similar to a large insurance company, providing medical and limited wage-replacement coverage to workers who suffer job-related injuries and illness.  The Agency's rules and enforcement programs help ensure workers are paid what they are owed, that children's and teens' work hours limited, and consumers are protected from unsound building practices.  Key functions include:  Protecting the health and safety of workers | Ensuring medical care and financial help for injured workers | Protecting workers' wages, hours, breaks and more | Protecting the public from unsafe work and economic hardship.

The ProSidian Team works to provide expert level Information Technology (IT) Quality Assurance (QA) consulting services supporting a full cross-agency “business transformation” initiatives intended to achieve the mission of keeping citizens in the state safe and working. The business transformation (BT) calls for modernizing the agency's extensive technology infrastructure and corresponding business processes over several years. The client is starting with people and processes – ensuring the best way to do business and collectively understand business priorities and customers’ expectations. Then, they will invest in new technology to support those process improvements and achieve stated goals and objectives.

Navigating the agency's technology maze is challenging for its employees. It complicates the training process and makes it difficult for them to deliver high-quality, effective service to their customers. Many applications are independent and don’t communicate information between each other. Over the next several years, L&I will modernize technology across the Dept., which will take place in phases. Key focus areas shall be The current workers’ compensation system; L&I’s Insurance System (LINIIS) is an application comprised of many sub- systems and used to process and manage workers’ compensation claims; Organized Information Online (ORION) is an integrated document management (IDM) and business process management (BPM) workflow application where the work is managed; Early Claims Solutions (ECS) is an application used by both claims and employer services staff; Independent Medical Examination (IME) application; Medical Information Payment System (MIPS); Benefit Payment System (BPS), and Pension Payment System (PPS); and VOC-LINK is an application for private vocational rehabilitation providers.

Senior Quality Assurance Analyst Candidates shall work to support requirements for Program Support and Work with solution development team and the QA team to automate testing, create new test harnesses and implement new automation tools. use their top notch software design, analysis and programming skills to create innovative automated test systems. Examine, validate, and test large scale software development and deployment projects. Help design and build intelligent systems that explore various use cases and scenarios. Possesses 3+ years of Testing and Automation experience; 5+ years of development experience; Writing/using open source test automation tools; Testing software in a distributed networking environment; Testing large scale enterprise systems; Relational Databases or programming in SQL. BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent preferred. Experience leading and managing Engineering teams. 2+ years of experience:

Qualifications

The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/Power point) and related tools and technology required for the position.  Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.

A bachelor’s degree is required with at least three years work experience in accounting, budget execution, IT, financial system requirements and analysis, financial planning and reporting, auditing, and internal financial controls.

TRAVEL:  Travel as coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, is allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.  LOCATION:  Work shall be conducted at the CONUS/OCONUS - Olympia, WA and Tumwater, WA
