About the Job

Requirements

  • Be a qualified accountant or tax adviser (ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent) with a strong tax background; practice training or a mix of practice and in-house experience is ideal.
  • Have real exposure to group structuring, transfer pricing design, M&A tax, or financing structures.
  • Have solid working knowledge of UK corporation tax, VAT, and payroll; exposure to US or other international tax is a strong plus.
  • Be able to own a domain independently in a fast, ambiguous environment.
  • Be highly organised, deadline-driven, and detail-oriented, with sound judgement about materiality.
  • Be a first-principles thinker who wants to build clean processes rather than merely maintain them.

Responsibilities

  • Own group structuring and value creation, including corporate structure, entity footprint, intercompany agreements, internal financing, acquisition structuring, holding structures for new markets, and cash repatriation; identify where value is leaking and propose fixes.
  • Own group tax compliance, including UK corporation tax, VAT, payroll, and indirect taxes, as well as US and other international obligations as the company enters new markets; manage filings, payments, and deadlines across every entity.
  • Set transfer-pricing policy, documentation, and intercompany pricing across a group that regularly adds entities, working with external advisers to keep it current and defensible.
  • Manage reliefs and credits, including R&D claims, capital allowances, and full expensing on generation and storage assets, group relief, and loss and interest restriction planning.
  • Manage compliance financial reporting and statutory, regulatory, and filing obligations across Companies House, HMRC, Ofgem, and overseas equivalents, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Handle corporate and general administration tied to compliance, including new-entity incorporation and set-up, company secretarial work, registrations, and operational tasks.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience standing up entities in new jurisdictions.
  • Experience in energy, trading, or another regulated sector.
  • Experience with offshore and holding-structure tax.

About the Company

Fuse Energy UK

Vertically integrated energy: generation, trading, retail

Fuse Energy UK is a London-based energy company that handles renewable generation, trading, and retail supply for households and businesses in a single chain. It owns and operates solar and wind farms, trades electricity to balance supply and price, and sells energy directly to customers, reinvesting profits into new renewable projects. Its edge comes from being vertically integrated across generation, trading, and retail, with strong backing from investors and a leadership team formerly at Revolut. Its goal is to grow its UK customer base and expand into Ireland, Spain, and the US while scaling up renewable capacity.
