  • A hands-on, proactive approach, ownership of inspection and supervision responsibilities, and commitment to architectural excellence on site are required.

Responsibilities

  • Review and provide technical approval for contractor submittals, including shop drawings, method statements, and material data sheets for architectural elements.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between design documents and site conditions, and ensure necessary changes are documented and approved without compromising design quality.

  • Liaise with the lead architectural consultant to manage and resolve technical queries (Requests for Information) in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing and structural field engineers to ensure correct installation of service penetrations, in-wall and in-slab services, and partition set-outs relative to the structure.
  • Maintain accurate site records, including daily progress reports, inspection logs, and photographic evidence of the work.

  • Ensure architectural installations comply with Kenyan building codes, local authority regulations, and international best practices.
  • Monitor contractor operations for adherence to approved health and safety plans and procedures.
