Edinburgh office building set for major revamp.

Edinburgh office building set for major revamp. 22 October 2026 CBRE and JLL have launched The Aspect Building to market ahead of a major refurbishment designed to bring Grade A workspace, rooftop amenities and landscaped gardens to Edinburgh's west end. Extending to 60,000 sq ft in total, the building has 26,307 sq ft of available office accommodation. The works will 'reimagine' these suites alongside the communal spaces and occupier facilities, whilst also increasing the profile of the building. Construction is scheduled to begin later this month, with completion expected by the end of 2027. Owned by Cervidae and formerly known as Exchange Tower, the building will undergo a comprehensive refurbishment designed by architect dMFK. Plans include enlarged dual entrances from Canning Street and Torphichen Street, landscaped courtyard gardens, a new steel-clad stair tower, and refurbished communal areas throughout. Wellness facilities and cycle storage will aim to further enhance the experience for occupiers, alongside a sixth-floor rooftop terrace and pavilion. The refurbishment will target BREEAM Excellent and EPC A ratings through all-electric infrastructure, energy-efficient lighting, and extensive reuse of materials. Maurice Roberts, senior investment and asset manager at Cervidae, said, "The Aspect Building presents an opportunity to give a prominent Edinburgh landmark a new future and bring something distinctive to the city's office market. Our plans go beyond upgrading the office space. We want to create a building that businesses are proud to call home and that people enjoy working in, with welcoming arrival spaces, landscaped gardens and a rooftop terrace that makes the most of its exceptional views." Angela Lowe, head of office leasing for Scotland at CBRE, added, "The Aspect Building will bring a compelling new option to Edinburgh's office market. Businesses are looking closely at what their workplace offers, from the quality and sustainability of the space to its ability to bring teams together and help attract and retain talent. This redevelopment responds directly to those priorities. The combination of Grade A accommodation, shared rooftop amenities and excellent connectivity will give occupiers a strong reason to consider the building as their next home." Craig Watson, director at JLL, said, "The rooftop terrace and pavilion will be a real point of difference for The Aspect Building, giving every occupier access to outdoor space with outstanding views across the city. Alongside the landscaped gardens, wellness facilities and upgraded communal areas, it will offer businesses much more from their working day."

Teachers Federal Credit Union accelerates strategic branch expansion across New York and Florida. Business · OCT 16, 2026 PR Newswire New locations complement the credit union's nationwide digital capabilities while strengthening member relationships and community connection HAUPPAUGE, N... New locations complement the credit union's nationwide digital capabilities while strengthening member relationships and community connection HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., Oct. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Teachers Federal Credit Union, one of the nation's largest credit unions with $9.9 billion in assets and over 472,000 members, is continuing to expand its branch network across New York and Florida, with new locations planned for Estero and Wesley Chapel, Florida, and Farmingville, New York. With a national open charter and members across all 50 states, Teachers combines the convenience of digital banking with access to personalized financial guidance. As the credit union's membership has grown nationwide, its physical footprint has evolved alongside it, with continued investment in its home state of New York and an increasing presence in Florida. Teachers is also identifying additional markets across the country where a branch can bring the credit union closer to its members and support its long-term mission of helping members build a strong financial foundation today, for a better tomorrow. "Our growth is guided by how we can better serve our members and support their financial well-being," said Brad Calhoun, President and CEO of Teachers Federal Credit Union. "Our digital capabilities make it possible for us to serve members wherever they are, while our branches provide opportunities to build personal relationships and offer guidance through the financial moments that matter most. As we continue to expand in New York, strengthen our presence in Florida, and enter new markets, we remain focused on giving members more convenient ways to connect with Teachers and access the personalized service, expertise, and support they value - wherever and whenever they need us." To help guide its branch strategy, Teachers partnered with global commercial real estate services firm JLL to conduct a market screening. "Establishing our partnership with JLL was an important step in developing our approach to branch expansion. We wanted to understand where our members are, what markets are evolving, and where a physical presence could create the greatest opportunity for Teachers," added Inna Sprague, Chief Experience Officer, Teachers Federal Credit Union. "We combined internal data with factors such as market growth, demographics, competition, and site characteristics of potential locations to develop a branch expansion strategy that aligned with member needs, market opportunity, and our broader growth goals." Teachers has steadily expanded its branch network in recent years, entering the Florida market with its first location in Tampa's Westshore district in 2023 and building on that presence with branches in Naples in 2025 and Lake Mary, serving the greater Orlando region, in 2026. In New York, Teachers opened a new branch in Holbrook in 2025 and continues to invest in its Long Island footprint. The planned locations in Estero, Wesley Chapel, and Farmingville represent the next phase of that strategy, expanding access in markets where Teachers sees opportunities to serve both existing and future members. As Teachers grows, its investment in the communities it serves grows with it. The credit union's approach extends beyond opening branches to supporting organizations and causes that make a meaningful difference in the places where its members live and work. Through its annual Golf Tournament benefiting Children's Miracle Network, Teachers has raised more than $3 million since 2023 to support children and families, including through partnerships with Cohen Children's Medical Center in New York and Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital and Nicklaus Children's Hospital in Florida. Teachers also supports the American Cancer Society through Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, serving in 2026 as Presenting Sponsor on Long Island and Eastern Long Island and Silver Sponsor in Tampa Bay and Southwest Florida.
