Requirements
  • Strong experience in end-to-end testing within Cards Issuing, Payments, or Banking domains, including validating complex business processes across multiple integrated systems.
  • Experience developing and maintaining scalable ReactJS-based web applications and reusable user-interface components for enterprise-grade platforms.
  • Experience designing, developing, and supporting Java Spring Boot microservices, REST APIs, and backend services.
  • Strong experience with ReactJS, including component-based architecture, state management, and responsive user-interface development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot application development.
  • At least 5 years of full-stack software development experience.
  • Ability to work with cards issuing platforms such as TSYS, Mastercard, Visa, Rewards, Loyalty, or customer servicing systems.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of Maven, dependency management, and build automation.
  • Experience with MongoDB and database design principles.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, deployment automation, and release management processes using GitLab.
Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain data architecture pipelines that enable the transfer and processing of durable, complete, and consistent data.
  • Design and implement data warehouses and data lakes that manage appropriate data volumes and velocity while adhering to required security measures.
  • Develop processing and analysis algorithms suited to the intended data complexity and volumes.
  • Collaborate with data scientists to build and deploy machine learning models.
  • Build and manage robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
  • Partner with other functions and business areas.
  • Take responsibility for team operational-processing and activity outcomes.
  • Escalate policy and procedure breaches appropriately.
  • Embed new policies and procedures adopted for risk mitigation.
  • Advise and influence decision-making within the area of expertise.
  • Manage risk and strengthen controls for owned or contributed work in line with applicable rules, regulations, and codes of conduct.
  • Coordinate work and contribute to organizational sub-function objectives.
  • Evaluate factual information and select solutions to resolve problems using acquired technical experience.
  • Guide and persuade team members and communicate complex or sensitive information.
  • Act as a contact point for stakeholders outside the immediate function and build external networks.

Barclays appoints Wee Yee-Yeong to head private bank in Singapore and Asia

Barclays has appointed Wee Yee-Yeong as head of private bank for Singapore and Asia, effective later this year. He will oversee private banking operations in Singapore and lead regional strategy for international Asian clients. Yee-Yeong joins from Morgan Stanley, where he serves as chief executive and head of sales for Singapore wealth management. He brings over 20 years of wealth management experience, having held senior positions at Bank of Singapore, Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, UBS Wealth Management, and Merrill Lynch. He will replace Alexander Harrison, who served as interim head. The appointment follows Barclays' launch of its Singapore booking centre earlier this month, marking a key step in the bank's Asia Pacific growth strategy.

Form Energy closes $270M credit facility to scale iron-air battery production

Form Energy has closed a $270 million credit facility to support its energy storage technology development. The facility comprises a revolving credit facility and a tax credit advance facility linked to Section 45X Advanced Manufacturing Production Credit. An accordion feature allows the facility to expand to $1 billion. Barclays served as sole structuring bank, with Citi, Jefferies, JPMorgan Chase, RBC Capital Markets, Societe Generale, Stifel, and Wells Fargo participating in the lending syndicate. The financing follows Form Energy's $750 million Series G funding round in August, bringing total equity raised to over $2 billion. Proceeds will fund manufacturing scale-up and working capital as the company produces iron-air battery systems at its Weirton, West Virginia facility.
