Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Military air mobility management experience.
  • C-17 experience, including managing C-17 training at the Wing, Group, and Squadron levels.
  • Strong knowledge of the C-17 flight simulator and training services market, including experience managing the development of training solutions.
  • Excellent knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and working knowledge of program/project management software.
  • Leadership and organizational skills.
  • Communication skills.
  • Problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to reason, plan, direct, and evaluate situations to make appropriate recommendations and take actions beneficial to the program and the company.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the C-17 Training System Operations and Maintenance Program across all C-17 training sites.
  • Manage day-to-day site progress through constant interaction with site managers, immediate staff, instructors, engineers, technicians, government representatives, and training support personnel.
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate program staff at various continental and outside-CONUS C-17 training sites.
  • Apply change, risk, and resource management to a complex program using various tools.
  • Ensure sites comply with Union Collective Bargaining Agreements and participate in grievance, arbitration, and CBA renegotiation activities.
  • Collaborate daily with engineering, marketing, manufacturing, logistics, cybersecurity, and operations to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals.
  • Participate in the evolution of the organization's overall program-management discipline.
  • Analyze and resolve simple and moderately complex problems using project-management tools.
  • Provide technical expertise and training to other CAE USA departments in support of the program.
  • Maintain teaming associations with subcontractors and manage subcontractor performance.
  • Prepare, conduct, and run medium to large technical and management meetings with internal and external customers.
  • Provide proactive leadership and continual feedback on key program metrics and contract activities using existing tools and feedback mechanisms.
  • Travel extensively nationally and internationally for extended periods and perform essential duties worldwide.
  • Work in an office environment and periodically perform activities in a simulator high-bay environment.
  • Operate a personal computer and communicate via telephone.
  • Lift 50 pounds.
Desired Qualifications
  • Former C-17 Evaluator/Instructor experience.
  • Former C-17 Squadron, Group, or Wing Commander experience.
  • C-17 Weapons School graduation.
  • Graduate-level coursework.
  • Complex financial managerial skills, including budgetary and proposal activities.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting.

CAE reports Q1 revenue of $1.17B, up 6.8% year-over-year, maintains fiscal 2027 outlook

CAE reported first quarter fiscal 2027 results with revenue of $1,173.4 million, up 6.8% year-over-year from $1,098.6 million. Earnings per share declined to $0.10 from $0.18 in the prior year, whilst adjusted EPS remained flat at $0.26. The Montreal-based company generated free cash flow of $104.0 million and maintained a net debt-to-adjusted EBITDA ratio of 2.27x. Civil Aviation revenue rose 5.6% to $641.6 million, though profitability decreased. Defence and Security revenue increased 8.3% to $531.8 million with continued margin expansion. CAE's transformation plan progressed during the quarter, including a review of strategic alternatives for Flightscape and plans to close four to six Civil training centres. The company targets $125 million to $150 million in annual transformation run-rate savings by fiscal 2030. Management maintained its unchanged fiscal 2027 outlook.
