Requirements
  • A master's degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least three years of academic advising, career development, counseling, or student coaching experience within the business field or a related area.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of career development and counseling theories and methods.

  • Ability to collaborate with faculty, administrators, campus partners, and employers.

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one career coaching to undergraduate and graduate students and alumni, focusing on students in the College of Business Administration and those interested in business professions and entrepreneurship.
  • Implement workshops, information sessions, employer site visits, and industry panels introducing students to professionals and careers.
  • Partner with College of Business Administration faculty, staff, departments, and campus units to develop and support career and professional development programming.
  • Coordinate large-scale networking events for students considering business careers and provide tailored support for students pursuing entrepreneurial goals.
  • Collaborate with alumni stakeholders to shape event goals, recruit alumni committee members, select speakers, cultivate student interest, and provide post-event programming.
  • Cultivate and maintain employer and alumni relationships that support student and young-alumni career readiness.
  • Connect with employers and alumni to cultivate experiential opportunities and promote opportunities to students, faculty, parents, alumni, and campus partners.
  • Manage 2–5 undergraduate Peer Advisors and/or Graduate Assistants.
  • Train, mentor, and guide student staff in developing workshop and webpage content and managing events.
  • Collaborate with student staff to host career panels, employer information sessions, and career-readiness programs.
  • Teach courses related to internship and job preparedness for students pursuing business professions.
  • Represent the university through involvement in national and regional professional associations and strategic partnerships with employers, alumni, parents, and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the Division of Enrollment Management and Academic Engagement and Career and Professional Development through campus-wide events and committees.
  • Collaborate and communicate with staff, faculty, and campus partners across the university.
  • Support the university mission, vision, and values and provide outstanding customer service to promote student success.
Desired Qualifications
  • Preferred experience working with undergraduate students.
  • Familiarity with career development and counseling theories and methods.
  • Specialized knowledge of business administration fields.
  • Management or supervisory experience.
  • Preferably, knowledge of Workday, Microsoft Office Suite, database management systems, Handshake, and Jobscan.
