About the job

Requirements
  • You have a genuine product craft and a track record of shipping products used by real people, including evidence of the metric that moved.
  • You have built things with artificial intelligence, such as shipped products, agent workflows, or tools used by real users.
  • You regularly use artificial intelligence tools such as Claude, Cursor, Lovable, or similar tools, and can distinguish a production-ready product from a demo.
  • You have built personal artificial intelligence workflows that make you meaningfully faster and know when to trust, edit, or reject artificial intelligence output.
  • You have taken a user problem to a testable prototype without waiting for a brief and produced an output good enough for a team to ship.
  • Across Product, Design, and Engineering, you can identify opportunities, assess impact, prioritize, evaluate visual and interaction quality, and use artificial intelligence coding tools to build and troubleshoot real products.
  • You are fluent in data, can identify and evaluate the metric you are trying to move, and maintain healthy skepticism about what metrics do and do not tell you.
  • You believe in experimentation and can work with A/B tests and new data science models.
  • You have worked on products where mistakes have real consequences for real people.
  • You are fluent in English.
Responsibilities
  • Take a user problem from rough idea to shipped product by writing the brief, designing the flow, prototyping it, and getting it in front of users with as few handoffs as possible.
  • Use artificial intelligence tools to compress research, synthesis, and specification writing, while evaluating, editing, or rejecting their output appropriately.
  • Structure ambiguous problems, decide what should and should not be built, make trade-offs, and turn unclear ideas into products users can trust.
  • Work in small, focused teams of two or three other people who share the builder model.
  • Measure success by changes in user behaviour and remain accountable to outcomes rather than roadmaps.
  • Give direct feedback to people at any level, raise blockers early and openly, and push back when something is wrong.
  • Stretch beyond product by building prototypes, writing SQL queries, reading API specifications, and writing code to get products into users' hands faster.
  • Identify opportunities, assess impact, and prioritize across Product; apply design judgment; and use artificial intelligence coding tools to build real products in Engineering.
  • Use experimentation and A/B tests to learn quickly and try new data science models.
  • Find ways through blockers, document why something is impossible when necessary, and move forward.

Markus Berger-de León Named COO as Taxfix Aims to Strengthen UK and European Expansion

Markus Berger-de León named COO as Taxfix aims to strengthen UK and european expansion. Taxfix has appointed Markus Berger-de León as its new Chief Operating Officer as the company advances its strategy for profitable growth across Germany, the UK and Spain. The move follows the integration of London-based TaxScouts earlier this year and reflects the company's effort to unify its operations under an AI-first framework. Berger-de León will oversee customer service, tax operations, and the expansion of Taxfix's advisory capabilities as the platform evolves to support a wide range of taxpayers, including self-employed workers, landlords, investors and small business owners. He steps into the role previously held by Daniel Kreter, who is departing after seven years to pursue his own venture. Berger-de León brings experience from leadership roles at McKinsey, MyHammer, StudiVZ and Jamba, where he worked on scaling digital products and operational systems. Taxfix views his appointment as a key step in strengthening its cross-market coordination while deepening its use of AI to deliver faster and more personalized tax services. Highlighting his motivation, he remarked, "The opportunity to bring that clarity and support to millions of people by making one of the most complex areas of finance - taxes - simpler and more accessible, was very compelling."
