Requirements
  • A BS, MS, or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related technical field is required.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and a proven track record of building machine learning training infrastructure, internal developer platforms, or scalable systems are required.
  • Hands-on experience with large-scale training using JAX, PyTorch, or TensorFlow is required.
  • Familiarity with distributed training, multi-host setups, data pipelines, and managing workloads on cloud platforms or orchestration systems such as Kubernetes, SLURM, GCP, or AWS is required.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills, ownership of work, and interest in building tools that improve developer experience are required.
  • Experience building automated testing pipelines, continuous integration and continuous delivery for machine learning workflows, and custom logging or telemetry stacks is required.
Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust large-scale model training systems, including job orchestration, scheduling, checkpointing, and experiment tracking.
  • Build streamlined abstractions for launching, monitoring, debugging, and reproducing experiments.
  • Work with researchers to scale reinforcement learning and machine learning pipelines across compute clusters.
  • Ensure efficient allocation and utilization of cloud-based compute resources and build foundational systems for future scaling.
  • Partner with researchers to understand their needs, build supporting infrastructure, guide best practices for training at scale, and contribute to core JAX model and training code.
Desired Qualifications
  • A background in robotics, reinforcement learning, or other machine learning systems is preferred.
  • Experience designing abstractions that balance researcher flexibility with system reliability is preferred.
