Requirements
  • Medical Assistant Certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience with a proven track record of building and maintaining a client base is required.
  • The candidate must have experience conducting consultations, cross-promoting services and skincare products, and effectively closing sales.
  • The candidate must be proficient in using electronic health record software for healthcare systems.
  • Previous experience in a medical spa, dermatology, or plastic surgery setting is highly desirable.
  • The candidate must demonstrate strong follow-through, customer service ability, and focus on patient satisfaction and care.
Responsibilities
  • Assist providers in delivering aesthetic and medical procedures.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and supplies before each patient encounter while maintaining cleanliness, organization, infection control, and safety standards.
  • Escort patients to examination or treatment rooms and obtain and document vital signs, medical history, medications, allergies, and other relevant information in the electronic medical record.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explain treatment processes, and provide reassurance and support under the direction of a licensed provider.
  • Assist during aesthetic and medical procedures by preparing materials, handing instruments, and following provider instructions.
  • Provide post-treatment instructions as directed by the supervising provider, monitor patient comfort, and promptly report adverse reactions or concerns.
  • Document clinical interactions and patient data accurately in the electronic medical record in accordance with practice policies and applicable regulations.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and safeguard protected health information in compliance with HIPAA and other privacy laws.
  • Complete and store informed consent forms, treatment logs, and other required documentation.
  • Maintain treatment areas, instruments, and equipment in a clean, safe, and operational condition.
  • Assist with inventory management and supply ordering as needed.
  • Handle and dispose of medical waste and sharps in accordance with OSHA and state regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with front-office and clinical staff to optimize patient flow and scheduling.
  • Adhere to applicable federal, state, and local laws and clinic policies, procedures, and compliance programs, including OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and patient safety standards.
  • Report incidents, safety concerns, and compliance issues to the appropriate supervisor or compliance officer.
  • Participate in quality-improvement initiatives, staff meetings, and continuing education.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor consistent with practice standards.
  • Communicate courteously, empathetically, and professionally with patients, providers, and staff.
  • Represent the practice with integrity, discretion, and commitment to patient care excellence.
Desired Qualifications
