Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
  • EpicCare Ambulatory, Kaleidoscope, and Bones certifications are required.
  • A minimum of five years of experience, preferably in healthcare or a healthcare-related organization, is required.
  • Previous operational, project management, and organizational skills are required.
  • The ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary is required.
  • Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office, is required.
  • The ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems is required.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form is required.
  • The ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others is required.
Responsibilities
  • Initiate the implementation, build, and modification of complex applications.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize application configuration, function, and access.
  • Serve as a primary support contact for application end-users.
  • Initiate the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the application.
  • Initiate all phases of testing and document workflow design.
  • Analyze information technology in clinical work processes and validate impacts to workflow.
  • Identify issues and guide the work to resolve them.
  • Support junior staff members in evaluating and resolving service tickets, identifying and implementing application changes, retrieving requested data, and executing day-to-day operations.
  • Collaborate with trainers on application changes and new features to develop documentation and training strategies.
  • Work with stakeholders, the business community, and end-users to ensure the application meets UHealth's business and clinical needs.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, support activities, and applicable committees.
  • Maintain regular communication with team members, including participation in weekly project team meetings.
  • Review the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership.
  • Remain knowledgeable about UHealth's policies, procedures, and business operations.
  • Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets.
  • Provide oversight and leadership to Associate Epic Analysts and Epic Analysts on the team.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with physician practices' workflows, hospital outpatient departments, and patient experiences is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ophthalmology physician practices' workflows is preferred.
  • Understanding of integration points, including scheduling, laboratory, radiology, billing, imaging, and inpatient clinical systems is preferred.
