Hybrid Work Options
Zebra Technologies and Aiva Health have partnered to bring voice-enabled clinical support to nurses through Aiva's AI-powered Nurse Assistant on Zebra's healthcare devices, including HC20/HC50 mobile computers and the new WS101-H wearable badge. The collaboration enables hands-free nurse workflows, allowing clinicians to complete routine tasks, retrieve information and communicate using natural voice commands. Nurses have already charted millions of rows with Aiva, reducing documentation time and cutting overtime costs. The assistant supports flowsheet documentation to Epic and Oracle Health, work order submission and access to clinical policies. The partnership addresses healthcare staffing shortages by reducing administrative burden and allowing nurses to focus on patient care. Zebra's devices are built for demanding healthcare environments, offering durability and HIPAA-compliant security whilst supporting fast, low-latency voice interactions.
Zebra Technologies will showcase manufacturing and supply chain solutions at MODEX 2026 from 13-16 April in Atlanta. The company will debut the WS501-R, a rugged wearable computer featuring barcode scanning, voice-directed picking and RFID capabilities, alongside its recently launched TC501 and TC701 mobile computers optimised with AI capabilities. According to Zebra's study with Oxford Economics, nearly one-third of manufacturers and 37% of transport and logistics leaders rank enhancing supply chain visibility as a top priority over the next three years. Demonstrations will include Zebra's new Jam Detection solution, which uses machine vision and AI to prevent conveyor shutdowns. Jabil, a global manufacturing solutions provider, will demonstrate how it uses Zebra's technology in its supply chain operations.
Zebra Technologies reported fourth-quarter net sales of $1.475 billion, marking 10.6% year-over-year growth. The Connected Frontline segment led performance with $854 million in sales, boosted by the Elo Touch acquisition and 2.5% organic growth. Adjusted EBITDA reached $326 million, up 10.5%, whilst GAAP net income fell to $70 million due to $76 million in restructuring charges and the company's exit from the robotics business. The Asset Visibility & Automation segment contributed $621 million to quarterly sales. Zebra completed $303 million in share repurchases during the quarter as part of a $500 million commitment. The board has authorised an additional $1 billion for future buybacks as the company focuses on digitising and automating workflows across its divisions.
Zebra Technologies has introduced "Orchestrated Care", a framework designed to enhance healthcare operations through intelligent visibility, empowered teams and optimised operations. The company will showcase the approach at the HIMSS26 Global Health Conference in Las Vegas from 9-12 March. The framework addresses disconnected systems and administrative burdens facing healthcare professionals. It focuses on error-proof patient identification through connected digital touchpoints, unified communication via single mobile devices, and automated resource management through digitised inventory and asset tracking. Zebra will demonstrate its healthcare technology portfolio at the conference, including the new DS82-HC Series scanner featuring disinfectant-ready plastics, anti-microbial labels and four-day battery life. The solutions aim to reduce clinician burden whilst improving patient safety and operational efficiency.
EBI Electric, a wood scanning solutions provider, is using Zebra Technologies' AltiZ 3D sensors to power its AI-enriched lumber scanning solution, Inspector T. The system delivers an eightfold improvement in measurement precision, helping lumber manufacturers reduce errors and waste. The Inspector T solution uses dual AltiZ sensors to capture complete cross-sections of wood planks, identifying knots, cracks and defects with AI-powered accuracy. This enables manufacturers to gain up to 5% more usable wood, resulting in nearly $750,000 in annual cost savings. The sensors operate reliably in dusty mill environments, replacing EBI Electric's 20-year-old linear scanners that frequently missed defects. The technology optimises cuts, reduces waste and improves inventory management for lumber manufacturers.
