Vector launches AI scenario simulator for workplace training.

Vector launches AI scenario simulator for workplace training. Tue, 27th Oct 2026 (Today) Vector Solutions has launched Scenario Simulator, an artificial intelligence-based training tool for workplace learning. It is being added to selected harassment prevention and hazard communication courses. The product lets learners respond in their own words instead of choosing from preset answers. Scenarios then shift based on those responses, with feedback drawn from content written by subject matter specialists and reviewed by people. Initial use covers education, commercial, and public sector training. The first courses include bullying prevention and response in schools, alcohol and substance misuse for higher education students, harassment prevention for employees and supervisors, workplace violence, and hazard communication and safety. According to Vector, the selected courses reach nearly 1 million learners a year. They were chosen for situations in which staff may need to intervene, report concerns, de-escalate tension, or identify risks under pressure. The launch comes as hazard communication ranks second on the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's preliminary list of most-cited standards for FY2026, giving the new tool a direct link to one of the most frequently cited workplace safety issues in the US. The simulator is designed to test judgment in situations that do not lend themselves to multiple-choice answers. Supervisors may be asked to decide whether repeated behaviour amounts to harassment and how to respond. Workers may be asked to identify hazards in an illustrated work area and explain how to correct them. Vector said the system is embedded in existing courses and adapts to a learner's responses during the exchange. It also includes crisis escalation protocols, audit trails, data privacy protections, and opt-out features. Rob Buelow, vice president of digital learning transformation at Vector Solutions, said the tool is intended to bridge the gap between recognising a correct answer and acting on it in a live situation. "Knowing the right answer and being prepared to act on it are two different things. The moments that matter most require people to think, respond, and adapt in real time. Scenario Simulator gives learners the opportunity to practice those decisions and receive meaningful feedback, building the judgment and skills they need to take action when it matters," Buelow said. Training shift Vector positions the launch as part of a broader move to use AI in workforce training where human judgement matters. Rather than offering a generic chatbot experience, each scenario is mapped to specific knowledge, attitudes, and skills, and ends with consistent instructional takeaways even if each conversation unfolds differently, the company said. Steven G. Schoolcraft, Ph.D., P.E., CSP, founder of Consult Safety, said AI could widen access to more tailored training interactions. "Technology has long limited the ability to bring personalized, one-on-one instruction into training at scale. AI creates an opportunity to change that. Learners can bring their own experiences and knowledge to the training and receive feedback that responds to their individual decisions, creating a more dynamic learning experience that builds on the strength of expert-authored instruction," Schoolcraft said. Early testing also drew comments from outside reviewers involved in the alpha phase. Their feedback focused on whether the system could stay aligned with the learning goals while responding flexibly to different user approaches. "What stood out was the tool's ability to adapt to each of my approaches while staying grounded and consistent in the scenario and learning objectives. It identified my strengths and weaknesses and appropriately redirected me when I wasn't engaging meaningfully. I was particularly interested in whether I could derail it or get it to reinforce problematic behavior, and it remained remarkably consistent, professional, and relatable. The adaptability and individualized coaching have tremendous potential," Eichele said. Customers that already license the participating courses will receive access to the scenario-enhanced versions at no extra cost for now, Vector said. The company serves more than 24,000 clients across sectors including safety, compliance, workforce readiness, and operations.

Vector Solutions launches AI skills tool as 9 in 10 manufacturers still track skills manually

Vector Solutions has launched Skills Intelligence, an AI-native tool that shows manufacturers what their employees can do, rather than relying only on training completion. The Tampa, Florida company announced the product on October 21, 2026. Vector's 2026 market research found that roughly nine in 10 manufacturers still track workforce skills through spreadsheets, paper, or disconnected systems. Nearly 40% of job skills are expected to change by 2030. The tool shows proficiency levels across roles, teams, sites, and shifts. Leaders can find who is qualified for specific work, cover absences, spot single points of failure, and plan cross-training. It tracks skills validated through a company's own sign-off processes. Skills Intelligence is an add-on for Convergence LMS customers, bundled for new customers, or sold standalone.

Vector Solutions introduces ai-powered Scenario Simulator to turn training into real-world practice and skills.

Vector Solutions introduces ai-powered Scenario Simulator to turn training into real-world practice and skills. October 13, 2026 New capability gives learners personalized, conversational practice for moments where judgment and action matter most. TAMPA, Fla. - Today Vector Solutions, the leading AI-enabled performance platform that enhances safety, compliance, and workforce readiness for critical industries, announced Scenario Simulator, a new AI-powered learning capability that transforms traditional training scenarios into dynamic, conversational practice. Instead of selecting from predetermined answers, learners respond in their own words, navigate scenarios that evolve based on their decisions, and receive personalized feedback grounded in Vector's expert-authored content. Traditional knowledge checks and scenario-based training can help learners recognize the right answer, but real-world situations rarely come with a set of choices. Whether responding to a safety hazard, stepping in as a bystander to help someone at risk, responding when a colleague reports harassment, or navigating a potentially violent workplace situation, learners must be able to apply what they know amid competing pressures and uncertainty. Scenario Simulator creates a safe environment to practice those decisions before the stakes are real. "Knowing the right answer and being prepared to act on it are two different things," said Rob Buelow, VP of Digital Learning Transformation at Vector Solutions. "The moments that matter most require people to think, respond, and adapt in real time. Scenario Simulator gives learners the opportunity to practice those decisions and receive meaningful feedback, building the judgment and skills they need to take action when it matters." Embedded directly into select Vector courses, Scenario Simulator uses AI to meet learners where they are, probe and challenge their reasoning, and adapt the experience based on their responses. Unlike generic AI experiences, each scenario is structured around behavioral science and grounded exclusively in Vector's expert-authored, human-reviewed content, with prompts and feedback mapped to the knowledge, attitudes, and skills needed to change behavior. The scenarios conclude with consistent instructional takeaways, regardless of how the individual conversation unfolds. The experience also incorporates safeguards including crisis escalation protocols, audit trails, data privacy protections, and opt-out capabilities. "Technology has long limited the ability to bring personalized, one-on-one instruction into training at scale," said Steven G. Schoolcraft, Ph.D., P.E., CSP, Founder, Consult Safety, PLLC. "AI creates an opportunity to change that. Learners can bring their own experiences and knowledge to the training and receive feedback that responds to their individual decisions, creating a more dynamic learning experience that builds on the strength of expert-authored instruction." Scenario Simulator is initially available across three sectors, with these courses representing the first of a growing number of Vector courses that will incorporate the capability: * Education: bullying prevention and response in K12 schools; alcohol and substance misuse for higher education students * Commercial: harassment prevention for employees and supervisors; hazard communication and safety * Public Sector: harassment prevention for employees and supervisors; workplace violence; hazard communication and safety The selected courses collectively reach nearly 1 million learners annually and were chosen to represent situations where intervention, disclosure, de-escalation, and safety under pressure require more than policy recall. Scenario Simulator builds on Vector's growing use of AI across its training and performance solutions to move learning beyond completion and toward real-world skill development and behavior change. Early reviewers have pointed to the combination of personalization and consistency as a strength of the experience. "What stood out was the tool's ability to adapt to each of my approaches while staying grounded and consistent in the scenario and learning objectives," said Katie Eichele, Director of The Aurora Center for Advocacy & Education at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, who participated as an alpha reviewer. "It identified my strengths and weaknesses and appropriately redirected me when I wasn't engaging meaningfully. I was particularly interested in whether I could derail it or get it to reinforce problematic behavior, and it remained remarkably consistent, professional, and relatable. The adaptability and individualized coaching have tremendous potential." Scenario Simulator will be available beginning October 2026 as an enhancement to select Vector courses. Customers who already license participating courses will automatically receive access to corresponding scenario-enhanced course variants at no additional cost at this time. Vector plans to expand Scenario Simulator to additional courses as part of its continued investment in AI-powered learning experiences designed to build skills and improve real-world performance. Vector Solutions launches EHS Prevent, a connected safety platform that turns incidents into prevention.

Vector Solutions launches EHS Prevent, a connected safety platform that turns incidents into prevention. September 9, 2026 New capability connects incident management, corrective action, and targeted training in one workflow, giving commercial and manufacturing safety teams a verified record of prevention. TAMPA, Fla. - Today, Vector Solutions, a leading provider of safety, compliance, and workforce readiness solutions for critical industries, announced the launch of Vector EHS Prevent, a connected safety platform that closes the loop between a safety incident and a safer outcome. Built for commercial and mid-market manufacturing safety teams, EHS Prevent connects Vector EHS, Vector LMS, and Vector's Safety & Career Development Library into a single prevention workflow, from incident documentation through verified training completion. Documenting an incident is not the same as preventing one. Most safety programs can capture what happened, but fewer can show what changed as a result. Incident data, corrective actions, and training records often live in separate systems, spreadsheets, and paper files, making it difficult to close the loop, and even harder to prove to leadership that prevention actually occurred. EHS Prevent removes that fragmentation by moving an incident through a single, connected workflow: * An incident is logged and investigated, with the event captured, root cause documented, and contributing risks identified. * A corrective action is assigned and tracked, complete with owners, due dates, and automated reminders. * Training is recommended and assigned, as AI Safety Training Recommendations surfaces the right courses based on incident type, root cause, and injury details, without leaving the incident workflow. * Completion is verified, tying training records directly back to the incident for audit-ready documentation. * Prevention is measured, with dashboards tracking incident trends, corrective action closure, and training completion over time. "Documenting an incident is not the same as preventing the next one," said Clare Epstein, General Manager of Commercial at Vector Solutions. "EHS Prevent closes that gap by connecting what happened to what changes because of it, turning every incident into targeted training and giving safety teams a clear, verified record that prevention actually took place." Built to Support Safety, Operations, and Training Teams Alike EHS Prevent is designed for every team that shares responsibility for a safer workplace. Safety leaders can trace root cause straight through to completed retraining, operations leaders see fewer disruptions and more confidence that their people are trained for the job, and training teams get proof that every course assignment ties back to a safety risk. EHS Prevent includes access to more than 1,000 expert-developed Safety and Career Development courses across critical safety topics, available in 40+ languages and supporting more than 100 state and national accreditations to help organizations deliver relevant, consistent training across their workforce. The launch builds on Vector's broader focus on measurable safety outcomes. In 2025, Vector's Workforce Safety Seal recognized 154 companies for safety excellence, including eight Platinum and 146 Gold honorees, with Platinum honorees demonstrating 61% stronger safety outcomes than their peers. For organizations that want additional support, Vector's Managed Software Services are available as an optional add-on, providing dedicated setup, configuration, and ongoing platform management. Vector Solutions has expanded its education course libraries with new AI literacy training for K-12 schools and higher education institutions. The courses aim to equip students, educators, faculty, and staff with skills to use AI responsibly and ethically. The expansion addresses a growing need. According to the Digital Education Council's 2026 Global AI Student Survey, only 29% of students globally—and just 17% in the US and Canada—believe their instructors are well equipped to guide them on AI use. The new courses cover topics including responsible AI use, tool selection, identifying AI-generated content issues, ethics, bias, data privacy, and productivity improvements. They are available through Vector's existing K-12 and higher education course libraries and can be customised with institution-specific policies. Vector serves more than 5,000 school districts and numerous higher education institutions through its student success and institutional performance platform.
