Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree is required, though applicants may substitute one year of related experience for each year of education.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in Construction Management, Residential Building Retrofits, Energy Efficiency Upgrades, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, or a related field.
  • A valid driver's license and successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Records check are required.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee residential efficiency and electrification retrofit projects from planning through completion.
  • Manage contractor relationships, ensuring accountability, quality, and adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Assist in preparing and finalizing each participant’s scope of work.
  • Review and interpret residential building codes to ensure all work meets regulatory standards.
  • Conduct site visits, site inspections, and progress evaluations.
  • Work closely with installers to manage installation and quality assurance/quality control processes.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with homeowners, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Manage incentive layering coordination, follow-up surveys, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Identify and resolve project issues and risks proactively.
  • Support program participation by building trust with clients and explaining project scope and benefits.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
  • Travel locally throughout Southern California for site visits, up to 25% of the time; a reliable vehicle is required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bilingual or multilingual proficiency.
  • Contractor State License Board license.
  • Certification with BPI, LEED, USGBC, or another energy efficiency and building science organization.
  • Familiarity with energy efficiency or electrification practices in construction.
  • A degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
