Cognos Solution Architect
About the job
- Proficiency in data warehousing, data analysis, source-to-target mapping, multidimensional modeling, relational modeling, star schemas, snowflake schemas, fact and dimension tables, and extract-transform-load processes.
- Knowledge of Cognos architecture and design, including implementation of security at Framework Manager model, package, and report levels.
- Full domain knowledge of the Cognos suite of tools.
- Experience with Cognos 10.x Framework and report development, Framework Manager, Report Studio, Query Studio, online analytical processing, and dimensional modeling techniques.
- Design and implement solutions to address business problems across various industry verticals.
- Drive proof-of-concept and proof-of-technology evaluations on interoperable technology platforms.
- Train and mentor developers in solution development and proof-of-concept/proof-of-technology execution.
- Support presales engineering activities for Cognos-based requests for proposals.
- Create Cognos schemas according to requirements.
- Create reports and dynamic dashboards according to requirements.
