A $430 million leveraged loan to help fund an acquisition by MJH Life Sciences was priced at one of the steepest discounts of 2025 amid investor wariness about some risky debt deals.
Moody's Ratings affirmed MJH Healthcare's B2 corporate family rating following its agreement to acquire BPD Healthcare for approximately $450 million. The acquisition will be financed with a $430 million incremental senior secured term loan. Despite an increase in debt-to-EBITDA to 5.7x, MJH is expected to reduce it to 5x within 12-18 months. The outlook remains stable, with expectations of good liquidity and no significant M&A activity during the integration of BPD.
