About the job

Requirements
  • At least 1 year of relevant professional experience is required.
  • A completed or in-progress BSc or MSc in a relevant field such as biomedical engineering, neuroscience, biomechanics, robotics, electrical engineering, computer science, experimental psychology, human movement science, or a related technical discipline is required.
  • Comfort working directly with people, physical hardware, and experimental equipment is required.
  • Ability to follow detailed experimental protocols consistently without skipping steps is required.
  • High attention to detail, particularly with data labels and experimental metadata, is required.
  • Comfort working in a hands-on environment where equipment occasionally needs troubleshooting is required.
  • Basic technical and computational literacy, including the ability to work with spreadsheets and structured datasets, is required.
  • Good written and verbal communication in English is required.
  • Willingness to work on-site and spend a significant portion of the day running experimental sessions is required.
Responsibilities
  • Run day-to-day human data-collection sessions using the Neural Gambit wearable and associated hardware.
  • Prepare the workstation, wearable equipment, and participant before each recording.
  • Position and fit wearable sensors and electrodes according to established protocols.
  • Follow experimental protocols precisely and consistently across participants and sessions.
  • Monitor recordings in real time and identify problems such as poor sensor contact, motion artefacts, signal dropout, or incorrect protocol execution.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of recording hardware and escalate issues when required.
  • Ensure recordings are correctly labelled, timestamped, annotated, and associated with the correct experimental condition.
  • Perform basic quality-control checks before data is accepted into the dataset.
  • Maintain accurate session logs and report deviations from protocol.
  • Help test and improve data-collection protocols in collaboration with the sEMG and biomedical engineering and robotics teams.
  • Support experiments investigating human movement, force production, motor control, and neuromuscular signals.
  • Help maintain an organized, safe, and reliable laboratory and data-collection environment.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a research laboratory, biomechanics lab, neuroscience lab, medical or biomedical environment, robotics lab, or other experimental setting.
  • Experience working with human participants.
  • Familiarity with EMG, physiological signals, motion capture, force sensors, or other wearable sensors.
  • Basic Python experience.
  • Experience with data annotation, labelling, or quality control.
  • Experience following or helping execute scientific or experimental protocols.
  • Interest in human motor control, neuromuscular interfaces, wearable sensing, or robotics.

About the company

REVEL Robotics builds a data infrastructure and hardware stack to train humanoid robots for real-world tasks. It creates high‑fidelity digital twins of tools and appliances from partner manufacturers and uses them in domain-randomized simulations, powered by its Neural Gambit wearable to capture human force, dexterity, and intent and train its RAi model; the company also develops an upper-body humanoid platform with dual arms, dexterous hands, and tactile sensing built on NVIDIA Isaac Sim. Unlike general robotics vendors, REVEL focuses on translating human skill into scalable machine capability through a B2B data library, simulation environment, and trained models that help other developers teach robots to use real tools. Its goal is to alleviate skilled‑labor shortages in manufacturing, skilled trades, and logistics by enabling robots to learn practical, real‑world tasks.

What believers are saying

  • REVEL reported 35-plus team members across ten-plus countries by September 2026.
  • The company says it moved into Prague headquarters and secured a $5 million pre-seed round.
  • Public Genesis demos at IRONMAN 70.3 and NVIDIA hackathons validate early market attention.

What critics are saying

  • REVEL remains pre-seed, bootstrapped from savings, and still chases first deployments.
  • Genesis launched publicly in August 2026, but customer revenue stays undisclosed.
  • Figure and Tesla Optimus can outspend REVEL, compressing its data and hardware window.

What makes Revel Robotics unique

  • Brian Walker and Kamil Dusejovsky launched REVEL in August 2025 with full-stack robotics ambitions.
  • Neural Gambit captures human force, dexterity, and intent for training embodied AI.
  • Genesis combines upper-body humanoid hardware, RAI software, and NVIDIA Isaac Sim simulation.
