Campbell's shifts marketing focus to top brands, cuts 13% of workforce to fund $500M efficiency drive

Campbell's reported disappointing results, with fourth-quarter sales falling 8% to $2.1 billion and full-year sales declining 5% to $9.7 billion. The company is overhauling its marketing strategy, focusing resources on top-performing brands including Campbell's, Rao's, Goldfish and Pepperidge Farm. CEO Mick Beekhuizen said 85% of the company's working media budget will shift to social, influencer and e-commerce channels, along with AI-enabled platforms. New national campaigns are planned for several brands. To fund increased brand investments, Campbell's is targeting $500 million in savings by 2030, including a 13% reduction in salaried workforce. The company faces pressure from price-conscious consumers switching to private label products, particularly in its snacks division.
