Licensed Veterinary Technician

Job Description

The Licensed Veterinary Technician (Dentistry) provides effective and timely support for the Veterinary Dental Specialist and works closely with clients, patients and other staff members. The LVT is responsible for providing the highest quality nursing care as directed by the staff veterinarians. The LVT also provides excellent customer service including scheduling appointments, coordinating patient care, greeting and assisting clients who seek medical services, gathering patient information and keeping clients up to date on their pet’s status.  The LVT must possess strong communication skills and be respectful and professional towards all employees at AMCS.

Qualifications

Successful Veterinary Technician applicants will require the following experience, skills and training to be considered:

• Currently licensed or eligible to become licensed as a Veterinary Technician in the state of Washington. 
• A minimum of two years of experience in a veterinary hospital setting is preferred.
• Experience in veterinary dentistry is preferred; strong anesthesia skills are required.
• Displays competency in the general knowledge and nursing skills required to care for patients.
