About the job
- At least 7 years of experience with data mart and data warehouse projects.
- At least 7 years of experience with extract, transform, and load development.
- At least 5 years of experience designing and implementing extract, transform, and load solutions with IBM DataStage in a Unix or Linux environment, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
- At least 4 years of experience with database programming in a large enterprise environment.
- At least 3 years of experience in source data analysis, defining data granularity, data element mapping, data warehouse design, and data aggregation.
- At least 3 years of experience with data conversions.
- At least 2 years of experience in data quality and data governance.
- The position requires eligibility under one of the listed statuses: H-1B, United States citizen, or green card holder.
- Work with minimal oversight over the investments data warehouse within the investments and risk technology team.
- Participate in all aspects of the system development life cycle, focusing on the design, estimation, construction, and testing of service and extract, transform, and load components.
- Own the full solution life cycle from analysis and design through testing and delivery.
- Perform hands-on development on medium to large data warehouses ranging from 15 to 25 terabytes using data modeling, dimensional data structures, and complex hierarchies.
- Design, develop, and performance-tune extract, transform, and load processes using Informatica PowerCenter and Java.
- Perform complex SQL coding, querying, and tuning in SQL Server.
- Design and develop the existing Java codebase and identify its functionality, design, and refactoring opportunities.
- Design and develop solutions using service-oriented architecture.
- Use business intelligence reporting tools to improve the team's implementation and development discipline.
