Requirements
  • Registration as a Land Surveyor in Tennessee.
  • At least 5 years of professional land surveying experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • A solid understanding of land surveying principles, legal considerations, and field-to-finish workflows.
  • Experience managing projects that include budgeting, scheduling, and invoicing.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to mentor staff, provide technical oversight, and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of surveying projects, including scope, schedule, and budget oversight.
  • Coordinate with field crews and office staff on boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS Land Title, control, and construction surveys.
  • Review and verify the technical accuracy of survey deliverables, including plats, legal descriptions, calculations, and staking reports.
  • Support the training and mentorship of junior staff while ensuring adherence to best practices and technical standards.
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center for processing and drafting.
  • Engage in client relationship management, proposal preparation, and business development to expand the survey practice.
  • Collaborate across internal disciplines to support multidisciplinary project delivery.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Trimble Business Center.
  • Demonstrated success in client development and practice growth initiatives.
  • Experience leading small survey projects or field teams.
  • Experience with complex land development or infrastructure surveying projects.
