Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current New Jersey Medical Assistant certification is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications and electronic health records.
- Experience in a medical office setting is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with medication refills and prior authorizations.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing laboratory specimens, and administering medications under physician supervision.
- Ensure examination rooms are clean and organized.
- Manage patient records and handle administrative tasks as needed.
- Educate patients about their medications and treatments.
- Communicate with patients and their families about care instructions.
Desired Qualifications
- Current New Jersey Medical Assistant certification.
- Experience in a medical office setting.
