Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree and one year of relevant program experience.
  • Ability to perform the listed physical job functions, including frequent sitting, walking, use of both hands and arms, repetitive motions, reaching, and fine motor movements.
  • Ability to lift, carry, lower, push, and pull objects weighing up to 15 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to maintain corrected 20/40 vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and hearing acuity with correction.
Responsibilities
  • Receive start-up packets from sponsors and initiate and monitor study start-up activities, including all necessary documents.
  • Submit study amendments and changes to the institutional review board and notify the study team of approvals.
  • Submit continuing reviews and answer questions or provide documents requested by investigators, the program manager, and study sponsors.
  • Maintain accurate study registrations, including ClinicalTrials.gov, for investigator-initiated projects.
  • Provide guidance on re-consenting subjects and reporting events according to institutional review board policy.
  • Maintain regulatory documents including curricula vitae, medical licensure, notes-to-files, conflicts of interest, laboratory certifications, and other required regulatory files.
  • Build and maintain electronic regulatory binders and electronic files.
  • Oversee regulatory documentation for multi-site projects with the Medical University of South Carolina acting as the lead site, including creating templates for use by the sites.
  • Create and maintain an electronic source documentation database for research coordinators throughout each study's lifecycle.
  • Code and build source structures, edit fields based on protocol amendments or usage needs, create reports and alerts, and notify the study team of changes.
  • Ensure documents are complete and filed in physical or electronic regulatory binders.
  • Work with study monitors to resolve action items in a timely manner.
  • Review corrective action plans with the Regulatory Manager and ensure that action items are addressed.
  • Work with central institutional review boards and maintain current central institutional review board policies at the site level.
  • Provide administrative support to program leadership and fiscal, education, operations, and regulatory staff, including scheduling meetings, assisting with program events, and completing site tours.
  • Complete institutional review board and sponsor reportable-event submissions independently.
  • Apply protocol and institutional guidelines to distinguish reportable from non-reportable adverse events.
  • Assist with other study tasks or projects as needed.
