  • At least 3 years of experience in a leadership or strategic capacity.
  • A background rooted in IT finance, technology business management, or digital finance rather than traditional IT asset administration, with demonstrated interest in technology and how it is financed, sourced, and governed.
  • Demonstrated experience with procurement processes, contract structuring and negotiation, and enterprise software licensing, such as Microsoft, Adobe, or similar large-scale agreements.

  • Demonstrated experience driving data quality or data governance improvement across a financial, technology, or reporting system.
  • Ability to build consensus across operational groups without direct authority, with stakeholder management, diplomacy, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for AI and automation as tools to modernize manual processes, with examples of having championed or implemented automation in a prior role.
  • Written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior executives.
Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end governance of the enterprise asset system of record and improve data standards, ownership, and audit trails across the hardware and software asset lifecycle.
  • Improve asset data quality and integrity by closing gaps between procurement, billing, CMDB, and TBM/ITFM platform source systems and eliminating manual reconciliation.
  • Chair the Configuration Control Board and related governance forums, convert operational input into enforced standards, and hold stakeholders accountable.
  • Hold asset owners accountable for data quality and improvement while fostering collaboration.
  • Serve as the point of contact for internal and external audit requests tied to IT/software asset compliance and ensure documentation and licensing positions withstand scrutiny.
  • Own software license true-up and optimization for major enterprise vendors, partnering with Technology Sourcing and Procurement on contract terms and FP&A on cost and general-ledger alignment.
  • Analyze software and hardware utilization data to identify, quantify, and act on cost-recovery, deprovisioning, and right-sizing opportunities.
  • Apply total-cost-of-ownership thinking and financial rigor to licensing renewals, vendor negotiations, and platform decisions.
  • Contribute to strategic contract negotiations and renewals alongside Technology Sourcing and Procurement.
  • Own the strategic direction of the enterprise IT/software asset management platform, assess current-state limitations, lead proof-of-concept evaluations of alternative or complementary platforms, and build business cases for replatforming when warranted.
  • Ensure the asset platform strategy integrates with procurement, billing, CMDB, and the TBM/ITFM reporting environment.
  • Lead platform implementation and upgrade initiatives end-to-end, including requirements, stakeholder alignment, and vendor management.
  • Coordinate infrastructure, security, application, and business unit stakeholders on internal priorities and drive consensus on competing priorities without direct authority.
  • Run recurring governance and reporting cadences with business units to validate license usage, forecast costs, and surface risk.
  • Establish clear ownership, cadence, and accountability across operational groups to improve fragmented or inconsistent processes.
  • Champion AI and automation to eliminate manual, error-prone asset and licensing workflows, including automated deprovisioning and AI-assisted reconciliation and reporting.
  • Partner with the TBM function and broader IT organization to extend enterprise AI initiatives into asset management and identify and pilot new use cases.
  • Monitor emerging AI and automation capabilities in the ITAM/SAM space and provide recommendations to leadership.
  • Manage software/hardware asset managers and contractors, evolving the team's remit toward data-driven asset governance.
  • Guide team development, role evolution, and succession planning.
  • Partner with the VP of Finance & Business Operations and peer functional leads, including Technology Sourcing and Procurement, TBM, and FP&A, as part of the HTS Finance & Business Operations leadership team.
Desired Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of digital or technology operations.
  • Experience responding to internal or external audits, including financial, compliance, or licensing audits.
  • Experience leading a platform evaluation, RFP, or replatforming initiative.
  • FinOps, TBM Council (TBMA/CTBMP), or similar professional certification.
  • Experience managing a Microsoft enterprise agreement renewal, including familiarity with Microsoft's consumption and pricing constructs such as CPS.
  • Extensive career experience within publicly traded, public, or Fortune 500-type organizations.

  • A+E reaches 414 million households, giving Hearst global content distribution.

  • In August 2026, Hearst bought Disney’s 50% A+E stake, ending the JV.

Disney sells 50% A+E Global Media stake to Hearst for over $1B

Disney is selling its 50% stake in A+E Global Media to joint venture partner Hearst Communications in an all-cash deal worth over $1 billion, according to reports. The transaction is expected to be announced at Disney's earnings call next week. A+E Global Media owns cable networks A&E, History, Lifetime, and FYI, as well as A+E Studios. Disney and Hearst launched a sale process last year through Wells Fargo. Whilst profitable and debt-free, A+E Global has faced declining linear viewership like other cable networks. The company has adapted through early adoption of FAST channels and owns much of its content library. A+E Global Media President and Chairman Paul Buccieri will continue leading the company. This marks Disney's first major move to reduce its traditional television footprint.
