United Vein & Vascular Centers Brings specialized Vein Care to Vero Beach's Medical District.

United Vein & Vascular Centers Brings specialized Vein Care to Vero Beach's Medical District. Oct 26, 2026, 11:44 ET VERO BEACH, Fla., Oct. 26, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - United Vein & Vascular Centers (UVVC) has opened a new Vero Beach vein clinic at 3755 7th Terrace, Suite 202, Vero Beach, FL 32960. The clinic begins seeing patients today, Oct. 26, 2026, offering vein screenings, diagnostic evaluations, and minimally invasive treatment for vein conditions. Located near Vero Beach's 37th Street medical corridor, the clinic gives patients another local option for discussing varicose veins, swelling, leg heaviness, skin discoloration, cramps, and other concerns that may be related to vein disease. The location serves Vero Beach and surrounding Indian River County communities while connecting patients with UVVC's broader network of Florida physicians and care teams. Appointments are now available. Patients can request a vein screening in Vero Beach or call (800) 952-5954 to speak with the care team. Specialized Vein Care Within Vero Beach's Medical District Vero Beach's medical district is a familiar destination for residents seeking care in central Indian River County. Placing the new clinic near that established corridor allows patients to begin a vein evaluation in the same part of the city where they may already visit physicians, imaging centers, and other healthcare offices. That proximity can matter when care involves more than one visit. A patient may return for diagnostic imaging, a recommended procedure, and follow-up appointments. Having those services in Vero Beach can reduce the need to begin care outside the community, particularly for residents traveling from mainland neighborhoods, beachside communities, and other parts of Indian River County. Vein symptoms can also make routine travel or activity less comfortable. Hours spent standing at work, sitting during a drive, caring for family, or staying active outdoors may feel different when the legs ache, swell, cramp, or become unusually heavy. The clinic provides a nearby place to ask whether those recurring changes may be connected to vein circulation. Dr. James Estes Brings Decades of Vascular Experience to Vero Beach The Vero Beach clinic is led by Dr. James Estes, a board-certified vascular surgeon with more than 30 years of experience treating complex arterial and venous disease. Dr. Estes has held clinical and leadership roles at major medical institutions and has experience in vascular and endovascular surgery, advanced vascular imaging, peripheral artery disease, limb preservation, and complex venous disease. His approach begins with listening to what the patient has noticed and understanding how the concern affects comfort, mobility, work, sleep, and other parts of daily life. When further evaluation is appropriate, diagnostic ultrasound imaging can help identify veins that are not circulating blood properly. Dr. Estes considers those findings alongside the patient's symptoms, medical history, vein anatomy, physical examination, and overall vascular health before recommending the next step. Depending on the complete clinical picture, that next step may involve monitoring, conservative care, minimally invasive treatment, or no procedure. Vein Problems May Surface in Different Ways Varicose veins may be the most recognizable sign of vein disease, but not every condition begins with a prominent vein. The Vero Beach care team evaluates and treats several vein conditions: * Varicose veins: Enlarged, twisted veins that commonly develop in the legs when blood does not circulate properly. They may appear raised or bulging and can occur with heaviness, aching, swelling, throbbing, or leg fatigue. * Spider veins: Small red, blue, or purple veins near the skin's surface. Some patients may experience burning, itching, discomfort, or irritation in the affected area. * Reticular veins: Visible blue or green veins that are larger than spider veins but smaller than varicose veins and may be associated with aching, discomfort, or nearby spider veins. * Chronic venous insufficiency: A condition that occurs when vein valves do not work properly, allowing blood to pool in the legs instead of circulating efficiently. * Venous reflux: Backward blood flow caused by weakened or damaged vein valves. It may contribute to swelling, heaviness, discomfort, or visible vein changes. Some patients first notice discoloration around the ankles, swelling in the feet or lower legs, or veins that look darker, twisted, or raised. Others experience aching, heaviness, fatigue, burning, itching, cramps, or restlessness, particularly after long periods of sitting or standing. Patients may initially try elevation, activity adjustments, or compression stockings. If symptoms continue or visible changes become more noticeable, a vein screening offers an opportunity to discuss what is happening and whether additional evaluation may be appropriate. Scheduling a screening does not automatically mean a patient has vein disease or needs treatment. A Vein Screening Can Provide a Clearer View Beneath the Skin A vein screening starts with a conversation about the patient's symptoms, when they occur, and how they affect daily life. The care team may ask whether the concern becomes more noticeable later in the day, after prolonged sitting or standing, during activity, or while trying to rest. If further evaluation is appropriate, ultrasound imaging can show how blood is moving through the legs and help identify affected veins beneath the skin. The physician reviews those findings together with the patient's symptoms and medical history rather than making a recommendation based on one visible vein or isolated concern. Minimally Invasive Vein Treatment Options in Vero Beach When a procedure is recommended, the treatment plan is matched to the location, size, and function of the affected veins. The Vero Beach clinic offers several minimally invasive vein procedures: * Radiofrequency ablation (RFA): Uses radiofrequency energy to heat and close a vein that is not circulating blood properly, allowing blood to naturally reroute through healthier veins nearby. * VenaSeal(TM): Uses a medical adhesive to close an affected vein without heat. Eligibility depends on the patient's clinical evaluation and vein anatomy. * Varithena(R): An injectable foam treatment used for certain affected veins that are not circulating blood properly. The treated vein closes so blood can naturally reroute through healthier veins nearby. * Ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy: Uses ultrasound imaging to locate affected veins and guide a medical solution or foam into the targeted vein, causing it to close while blood reroutes through healthier veins. * Microphlebectomy: Removes visible varicose veins through very small openings in the skin and may help improve comfort and the appearance of bulging veins. A patient may need one procedure, a combination of treatments, further evaluation, or no procedure at all. Dr. Estes bases each recommendation on the veins involved, symptoms, ultrasound findings, medical history, and individual needs. A Florida Patient Describes Life After Vein Treatment Patients throughout Florida have shared how vein symptoms affected their comfort, energy, and daily lives. Zoraida O., who received care at UVVC in Palm Beach Gardens, described the improvements she noticed after treatment: "The fatigue has disappeared, and I've also seen improvement in my varicose veins. There is no more burning sensation in both my legs, and I have more energy. I'm very happy with my doctor and very happy with my results." -Zoraida O. Strengthening UVVC's Florida East Coast Network The Vero Beach opening adds another Atlantic Coast location to UVVC's network serving the Treasure Coast and Palm Beach area. With the new clinic now seeing patients, UVVC operates five clinics across the Treasure Coast and Palm Beach area and 17 locations throughout Florida. For local patients, that growth means more than adding another clinic to the map. It provides a Vero Beach option for beginning care, completing recommended treatment, and returning for follow-up while connecting Indian River County with UVVC's broader group of board-certified physicians and vein care teams. The clinic opening extends UVVC's presence northward along Florida's Atlantic coast, adding a new location beyond Port St. Lucie and Palm Beach County. Placing specialized care within Vero Beach's established medical district gives residents another way to seek outpatient vein evaluation without separating that care from the healthcare community they already know. Schedule a Vein Screening in Vero Beach If recurring leg discomfort, swelling, cramps, heaviness, or visible vein changes are becoming more difficult to overlook, a vein screening can provide a place to begin. Patients can discuss what they have noticed, how it affects their routine, and whether further evaluation may be appropriate. To learn more or request an appointment, visit the Vero Beach vein clinic page or call (800) 952-5954. United Vein & Vascular Centers expands Tampa Bay network with new South Tampa vein clinic.

United Vein & Vascular Centers expands Tampa Bay network with new South Tampa vein clinic. Aug 24, 2026, 10:19 ET TAMPA, Fla., Aug. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - United Vein & Vascular Centers (UVVC) has opened a new South Tampa vein clinic at 4401 W. Kennedy Blvd., Suite 202, Tampa, FL 33609. The clinic begins seeing patients today, Aug. 24, 2026, bringing specialized outpatient vein care to the Westshore Palms neighborhood. The opening gives residents of West Tampa, South Tampa, Hyde Park, Palma Ceia, Beach Park, Westshore, Davis Islands, Sunset Park, and surrounding communities another local option for discussing varicose veins, persistent leg symptoms, and other concerns that may be related to vein disease. Appointments are now available at the South Tampa clinic. Patients can request a vein screening online or call (800) 952-5954 to speak with the care team. Closer Care for a Community That Stays in Motion South Tampa rarely stands still. A normal day may include a commute along Dale Mabry Highway or MacDill Avenue, hours spent sitting or standing at work, errands through Westshore, and an evening walk along Bayshore Boulevard. With so much of the day spent moving between the area's residential neighborhoods and business corridors, it can be easy to work around uncomfortable leg symptoms instead of asking why they keep returning. A person may start taking more breaks during the day. A familiar walk may feel longer than it used to. Shoes may feel tighter when the ankles swell, or leg cramps may interrupt a night that should have been restful. Other people feel physically fine but become concerned when veins appear darker, more prominent, twisted, or raised. The new clinic places specialized care along the Kennedy Boulevard corridor, close to many of the places South Tampa and West Tampa residents already pass during their day. Patients can receive a vein screening, recommended treatment, and follow-up care without leaving the part of Tampa where they live and work. Vein Disease Does Not Always Look the Same Varicose veins may be the most recognizable sign of vein disease, but the South Tampa care team evaluates and treats several conditions: * Varicose veins: Enlarged, twisted, or bulging veins that may develop alongside aching, throbbing, swelling, heaviness, or fatigue * Spider veins: Small red, blue, or purple veins that appear close to the surface of the skin and may cause cosmetic concerns, burning, or itching for some patients * Reticular veins: Blue or green veins that are larger than spider veins but smaller than varicose veins and may contribute to visible changes or discomfort * Chronic venous insufficiency: A condition in which weakened or damaged vein valves allow blood to collect in the legs instead of circulating properly * Venous reflux: Backward blood flow in the veins caused by valves that are not functioning as they should Symptoms vary from person to person. Some patients notice visible veins or skin discoloration, while others experience swelling, aching, heaviness, fatigue, burning, itching, cramps, or restlessness. These concerns may become more noticeable after prolonged sitting or standing and can interfere with work, sleep, errands, exercise, and time with family. Patients may initially try elevation, routine changes, or compression stockings. When symptoms persist, a vein screening provides an opportunity to discuss what is happening and determine whether further evaluation may be appropriate. Scheduling a screening does not automatically mean that a patient has vein disease or will need treatment. A Tampa Bay Patient Shares Their Experience The impact of local vein care is often best understood through the people who have already experienced it. Patients treated at UVVC clinics throughout Tampa Bay have shared how their symptoms affected daily life, what finally led them to schedule an appointment, and how they felt about the care they received. "The doctor is very good. After the procedure it was like night and day difference. He saved my quality of life." - Gary R. Dr. Patricia Fletcher Brings Vascular Expertise to Westshore Palms The South Tampa clinic will be led by Dr. Patricia Fletcher, a board-certified vascular surgeon. Patients do not always arrive at a vein clinic knowing the medical name for what they are experiencing. They may simply know that their legs feel unusually heavy by the end of the day, their ankles keep swelling, or a visible vein has become harder to ignore. Dr. Fletcher's approach begins with listening to those concerns and understanding how they affect the patient's comfort, routines, mobility, and overall vascular health. When additional testing is appropriate, advanced imaging can provide a clearer picture of the veins involved and identify areas where blood may not be circulating properly. Dr. Fletcher and the South Tampa care team consider those findings alongside the patient's symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, and vein anatomy. That fuller picture guides the next step. For some patients, additional monitoring or conservative care may be appropriate. Others may benefit from a minimally invasive vein procedure. Recommendations are based on the individual patient rather than a single symptom or visible vein. Treatment Is Matched to the Vein Being Addressed There is no single procedure used for every type of vein disease. Larger veins affected by venous reflux may require a different approach than smaller branch veins or bulging varicose veins near the surface of the skin. The South Tampa clinic will offer several minimally invasive vein procedures: * Radiofrequency ablation (RFA): This thermal treatment uses controlled heat to close a vein that is not circulating blood properly. Once the affected vein closes, blood naturally reroutes through healthier veins nearby. * VenaSeal(TM): This nonthermal option uses a medical adhesive to close an affected vein without heat. Eligibility depends on the patient's vein anatomy and clinical evaluation. * Varithena(R): This injectable microfoam treatment may be used for certain varicose veins, including veins that can be difficult to address with other minimally invasive procedures. * Ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy: Ultrasound imaging helps guide an injectable solution into an affected vein. The targeted vein closes while blood reroutes through healthier veins. * Microphlebectomy: This procedure removes larger visible varicose veins through tiny openings in the skin and may help address related discomfort and the appearance of bulging veins. A patient may need one procedure, a combination of treatments, further evaluation, or no procedure at all. The recommended plan depends on the veins involved, the patient's symptoms, ultrasound findings, and Dr. Fletcher's evaluation. South Tampa Joins a Growing Regional Network The new clinic joins an established UVVC presence across Tampa Bay. With South Tampa now part of that network, UVVC operates eight clinics throughout the Tampa Bay region and 15 locations across Florida. For patients, that growth is about more than adding another point to a map. It means having more choices about where to receive care, fewer reasons to postpone an appointment because the nearest clinic feels too far away, and a stronger local network for screening, treatment, and follow-up. The Westshore Palms location also fills an important geographic space within that network. It brings UVVC directly into South Tampa while remaining accessible to West Tampa residents and patients traveling through some of the city's busiest corridors. Schedule a Vein Screening in South Tampa If ongoing leg discomfort or visible vein changes are becoming harder to ignore, a vein screening offers a place to start. Patients can discuss what they have noticed, how it is affecting their routine, and whether further evaluation may be appropriate. About United Vein & Vascular Centers United Vein & Vascular Centers provides safe, effective outpatient care for vein and vascular disease at 60+ locations nationwide, including locations in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Colorado, Arizona, Texas, New York, and New Jersey.
