Requirements
  • One year of experience in a food and beverage position is required.
  • Prior cashier experience with a chain food or retail outlet is preferred.
  • Honesty and trustworthiness are essential, and the associate must pass appropriate security clearances under company policy.
  • The associate must be able to stand, lift, bend, stretch, reach, learn, read, concentrate, think, see, hear, and communicate.
  • The associate must be able to push or pull 60 pounds unassisted and lift or carry 30 pounds unassisted.
  • The associate must be able to stand for eight hours.
  • Knowledge of brand-required operating standards is required.
  • Knowledge of area shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions is required to assist guest inquiries.
  • Knowledge of daily hotel operations, daily events, bulletin boards, changes, procedures, and events is required.
  • Knowledge of the entire property, staff, services, hours of operation, room types, locations, rates, and discounts is required.
  • Computer literacy is required to operate the property management system, post charges, compute bills, collect payment, and make change.
  • Organization is required to assign stations, inform servers of responsibilities, process room service orders, and keep the restaurant clean, orderly, and guest-ready.
  • The associate must be able to multitask and remain focused on associate and guest service.
  • The associate must be able to communicate effectively with guests and associates.
  • The associate must be able to solve guest issues professionally while maintaining a hospitable attitude.
  • The associate must be able to market and promote services to increase exposure and sales.
  • The position requires physical presence at the hotel and is not conducive to telecommuting or remote work.
  • The associate must be available to work any day or shift, including weekends.
Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome guests.
  • Provide prompt and courteous service to create an enjoyable guest experience.
  • Provide point-of-sale service.
  • Prepare and consistently maintain the dining area and supplies in a guest-ready atmosphere.
  • Close out the shift by cleaning and restocking supplies for the next day or shift.
  • Maintain safety and security practices and have thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.
  • Ensure guests receive the highest-quality product and service.
  • Ensure required brand-standard documentation is completed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned that the associate is capable of performing.
