About the Company

Windstar Cruises

Operates small-ship luxury cruises worldwide

Windstar Cruises operates a small-ship cruise line that runs six sailing and all-suite yachts, carrying under 350 guests each. It visits about 260 ports across more than 60 countries, with itineraries that emphasize immersive, authentic experiences and port-intensive days. Onboard and ashore, guests enjoy a high level of service and a notable culinary program, highlighted by the title of Official Cruise Line of the James Beard Foundation. The ships focus on intimate, boutique-style cruising rather than large-ship experiences, and the company emphasizes sustainable hospitality as part of its parent group, Xanterra Parks & Resorts. The goal is to offer travelers distinctive, authentic itineraries with personalized service and a softer footprint compared with larger cruise lines.
